When i went to go onto GTA VC MP, it managed to connect ok i think, but then it only loads up the original, single player version. I have no mods and I downloaded it from CNET....... Can some help me? Thanks!

SA:MP players coming to VC:MP get wiped with on the floor the minute they try to battle in a DM server while vice versa, our VC:MP guys rip apart any SA:MP maggots on their own servers. That's why VC:MP rocks. :]

A) Set the vc-mp browser .exe for "Windows 98 compatability mode" that will stop the errors from happening but when you launch your game it will be stuck at 640 x 480

B) Download VRocker's custom browser. It works just as good and doesn't make your game get stuck in 640 x 480 resolution. Google "new unofficial server browser" It should be the first result.

If you didnt install the radio stations you may get an error that a file is missing if this is the case find the missing file by name in the

"Vice_City_Play.iso" disc or image and copy it to your install directory.

I had the same problem missing 32dll file wasnt until i installed the radio stations it passed that stage.Also when u install vc mp client you have to run as administrator other wise it wont install

@thegameplaymadnesss For Tommy Vercetti ? Aslong as the server has Tommy Vercetti as one of the playable characters yea. Pedestrian skins can also be modded aswell and will work on vc-mp.

@C0LEMAN777 the server list may have been down for whatever reason. Try again with the right client (google vcmp and download the one from Cnet.) The one form the official site doesn't work. Best server ip: 174.34.144.162:7800 . Also install the cleint in ur VC directory.

Usually something like that occurs if you haven't installed VC-MP to the same folder as Vice City. Double check that you have installed it properly by going to your Vice City folder and making sure that you can find both "gta-vc.exe" and "vc-mp.exe" in the root of the Grand Theft Auto Vice City folder.

@atalis1 I strongly agree with you there I love vice citys atmosphere and 80's theme etc. Though when it comes to singleplayer gameplay it definetley goes to San Andreas due to the endless number of features to do even once the game is complete.

Try making sure you've connected an actual server that is online, Also make sure that your not behind a firewall which could be blocking gta-vc.exe from connecting to the Internet. It could either be the firewall on Windows / Your Anti virus / router.

You might be trying to connect to a server you've added to your favourites list that isn't online. Usually if thats the case on the browser the ping will be "9999" :P
