I wouldnt want my kids to attend classes at a school that receives lower scores either, who would? Is the parents objecting to the boundary change the reason she calles the students "snotty-nosed little brats"? I wondered why she included all the other FCPS students, maybe thats why!

As a parent I know that if a superintendent's wife responded to my child 17, 18 or younger I would be after his job. When do adults have to set the example for how children should act when they become an adult. She is a poor example and I hope that her husband has enough sense to tell her that he is ADULT enough to answer his own messages......

If it wasn't snowing until 10 am,WHY would they call school off at all?! You have no idea how this system works. Schools have a very detailed list of criteria that must be followed to call school off. Evidently, the weather at the time didn't justify making the call.
The kid called during lunch, was wondering about early release. He had aslo sent emails to Mr Tistadts office a month before just asking for clarification on how snow days were decided. The kid was ignored until he called their home.
The proper response for a CHILD is to have his parents speak on his behalf. Get on the next school board agenda. Do things the proper way. If he was proper in the way he did things, I SERIOUSLY doubt that he would be ignored that long.
Bottom line, NO the kid should not have called their home. Mrs Tistadt shouldnt have called back. Mr Tistadt should have, but if he'd answered his email instead of ignoring the kid would this have happened? NO! Kids are people too and deserve to ba answered.
Maybe some of those calls were from concerned parents that also didnt get a reply from his office. I know that if I'd called his office and was ignored when I was worried for my kids if I'd known his home number was available I may have called too.
If you are truly concerned about your kids, then just let them stay home. Why cause such a big annoyance to everyone? Homeschool them! We all benefit from our public schools, but when they make a decision we don't like, we complain! There are alternatives!

Finally, the student should be ashamed of himself for calling the home about such a trivial thing. The parents should have made the decision to go to school or not for the student. Calling a principal at home should be reserved for emergencies. The student looks like a fool for posting this recording and should be liable for breech of privacy.

It wasnt snowing when they went to school. It didnt start snowing till 10am. If they stay home they have to make up the work and may have an unexcused absence on their record. Use your head for something besides defending someone that thinks children are snotty nosed brats!

The kid called during lunch, was wondering about early release. He had aslo sent emails to Mr Tistadts office a month before just asking for clarification on how snow days were decided. The kid was ignored until he called their home.
