I'm not very familiar with Harry Potter canon, I've only read the first three books and that was ages ago, but from what I've gathered the Malfoys are filthy rich and pretty well-known. So the news of Draco's bastard child being on the paper, especially what seems to be the Harry Potter equivalent on a tabloid... kinda makes sense? I dunno. It's horrible nonetheless.

Actually, contrary to what you say at 8:40, Hermione IS 17 in book 6, because her birthday is in September, so she is almost a year older than Harry. As long as the story takes place after September, the author would have gotten Hermione's age right. That doesn't make this story any better, I'm just nitpicking. Your review was wonderful as always.

Strangely enough the only things that really bothered me was that forgetfulness potion was a first year potion, and eggs into cups doing cartwheels was in the OWLs. Apparently I've become inured to badfic, and some innate sense in the back of my head is screaming in terror.

The fact that Dumbledore didn't know Draco had been ordered to kill him is also out of canon, Dumbledore knew about it. Plus... 'turning an egg into a cup and then make it do cartwheels' isn't the stupidest thing Malfoy's done so far surely, what with impregnating his supposed enemy and all.

Where's Luna? I mean, Ginny had other friends besides Hermione. Argggg!!!! Snape said 'eh'!? WTF?! Snape is better then that! And Lucius didn't know Ginny was a prueblood.... And you made Draco cry? Wow... I mean in that situation I don't think that would work. Maybe if Draco...no that wouldn't work. Make Draco a strong character!

It occurs to me that Rita Skeeter could easily spin the story about Ginny's pregnancy into a statement of how Dumbledore is unfit for his job. An underage girl gets drunk and pregnant on school grounds and not only is she not punished, but the staff go out of their way to accommodate her and reward her irresponsibility. Parents would be scandalized and I'd bet at least a few would be taking their kids out of school.

But then something interesting would be happening; and we can't have that.
