  • nice video! ilike it! check out my channel guys =D

  • Water flow too high for tank size.. Fish need more space. Fish have no cover which they need to feel secure. Hairgrass look better in 40 gal plus tank which gives it scale. grass looks gigantic in this puny tank. All in all, the tank fails ultimately bc the fish looked cramped and stressed. Nice tank and lights though.

  • where could i get some of those rocks?

  • its not healthy for your fish to put to much co2 in your tank because the ph value ascends dramaticly...but its still a very nice tank :)

  • where'd you get the moss??

im starting a nano tank and would like moss.

  • nice

  • i have a 18"x10"x12" LBH tank pressurised co2 32 watt light 6500k of osram germany.small head to create huge flow and external filter with lily pipe. still i have algae all over my tank glass and plants.if i clean them they gaain start after a few days.btw i use be-green as fertilizer. help me to get rid of algae.thanks

  • @MrAnirbanchakrabarty ghost shrimps or some sort of small snail would do... those would be a good choice, because shrimps are heavy algae eaters.... and snails when having eggs would give your fish a healthy snacks.. good luck with your tank..

  • What kind of light are you using?

  • Hello, can anyone tell me what light he is using because i have a 30cm-30cm-30cm aquarium (planted) and I would like good lighting. please help and beautiful tank btw

  • can you tell me that if i dont use light in my equarium then can this have effect on my fishs

  • What is that plant that you used on the bottom of the aquarium?

  • @1L9E8O5

The foreground plant is likely Hemianthus callitrichoides. The background plant looks like an Eleocharis sp., probably acicularis.

  • That looks like a green paradise!

  • Can you overcrowd a tank by putting so much plants?

  • @espadawolf not as long as your fish have adequate room to swim and move around. Be weary though because plants take up O2 when the lights are off, so if you have too many plants, fish, or co2 in the water its possible to get dangerously low O2 levels at night.

  • @ryan12381793 Only when u have too many plants and fish right? Id like to ask you another question since you seem to know a lot xD! My plants keep dying and I have no idea why o-o They like, rot or something and stink like hell! Dx

  • @espadawolf sure thing! i love helping people with their tanks and plants (its actually my job too :P) Your plants dying could be a number of things so i really need specifics in order to help. Just message me with all the specifications on your tank, like size, lighting, substrate, fertilizing regime if you have one, co2 if u have it, what plants you have in your tank, what kind and how many fish etc.. you know the deal haha. btw if anyone else needs help w/ anything aquarium related, just ask

  • what plants r they?

  • @Robomonkey5000 to me it looks like eleocharis acicularis (hairgrass), and riccia fluitans var. dwarf in the foreground. i could be wrong

  • What light is on this where can i but it?

  • How!! do you get that grass or whatever type of plant to grow on the bottom of your aquarium1?!?!?!!?!?

  • good thing i kust keep goldfish

  • Love the nano set up

easy clean and overall relaxing look

    good job

  • uh, just wondering, how do you keep the algae level down in your tank?

  • This tank looks like Takashi Amano set it up! Great Job!

  • wat are the plants in ur tank ??

  • Comment removed

  • do you had any trouble with algae ?

  • awesome tank

  • how many Ws is that?

  • what substrate do you use?

  • do you think this is ideal for 3 blood parrot ( one big and 2 small)

  • I2eapz smaller the tank less water there is to play with basicly a 10 gallon tank would only take 1 small thing to nuke the tank but like with my larger tank 8x2x2 (240 gallons its alot harder to kill the tank by a mistake 1 week ago

    >>>> Your right but to light a 240 gallon for live plants at 3 to 5 watts per gallong. 12 hours a day. You would need a light fixture that would be around 1,000 watts. Good luck paying that electric bill. Butt hole.

  • @wndebu to bad watts means nothing!!! thats your consumption rate. befor u try an be dick know what everything means. there to many diff lights now that have a huge range. thats why you rate it on par and what spectrum. if u dont have much in the 420-660nm then ur plants will do poorly even with ur 1000watts. hope it helps clear things up no need to spread bad info while trying to degrade someone just makes u look bad fyi.

  • Poresta tell me the name of the plant in the background

  • nice artwork

  • 0:01

  • What happens if you get a power outtage ._____.

I want to create a tank setup like this.... but my neighborhood is always having blackouts :(

  • @Night0wl44 the tank should be ok without light and a filter for a day.. and you can buy a battery powered heater and keep it extra incase your electric heater goes out because of the power. if the power outage lasts more than a day, you can just do daily 5% water changes until your power is back. but i think youd be out of luck for light unless you can somehow direct sunlight into the tank with mirrors.

  • i heard that the smaller the fish tank for saltwater the harder it is to take care of it.

is that true, i got a 10 gallon fishtank

  • yes it is true because the bioligy in the tank is always fluctuating

  • smaller the tank less water there is to play with basicly a 10 gallon tank would only take 1 small thing to nuke the tank but like with my larger tank 8x2x2 (240 gallons its alot harder to kill the tank by a mistake

  • What kind of light is that? how many watts? I'm planning on building a 12x12'' cube tank with the iwagimi style

  • I like this tank. I have the same idea with you but I don't know the names of my plans in English. My tank was built for shrimps.

  • First; do not ignore snails. They are good cleaners and fertilizer producers. Employ an army of shrimps, Red Cherry are good in cleaning your plants. Long hairy algae remove mechanically spinning long stick by the gingers. And last but not least use ,,chemiotherapy" - put the plant in an acid bath, use HCL or vinegard - time and proportion find experimentally, by try and error.

  • this methods work good :) i use it but without CO2 i have lot of fish in my 10L tank (3 fish per L) and the CO2 from the fish is fine for the plants :)

  • George farmer and the experts are great, but does 'Jeremy Gay' not annoy anyone else? His video's are crap, he seems as though he's half asleep and he's always edvertising shit products!

  • petrophylum scalare

  • i got some algae problems it looks like thread LOTs of it can u tell me how to get rid of it??thx

  • If your tank is in sunlight it will have algae,

Feed less and left over food sometimes causes algae.

Carry out a 50% water chang if your tank is less tank 200 litres.

  • nice iwagumi

  • Your fish swimm like they were high from the CO²

    :-D

    But nice thank

  • restless fish... won't u think?

  • who can tell me the name of this 2 plants, please!

  • eleocharis and hemianthus calitrichoides

  • with the same setup?

  • gorgeous. I have a ten gallon with nothing in it. any ideas for it? please reply with some cool suggestions or vids of your own. the help is gretly appreciated:)

  • you can do a saltwater reef tank thats what i did.

  • me too :) except i don't know how many gallons cause my dad got it for me at a garage sale any sugestions? it is pretty big not small at all!

  • you should do a nano saltwater reef tank like i did you can check out my tank. i do weekly updates and im going to have an unboxing on a few products in a few days.

  • i like this tank

  • I'm using the EI method for my planted tank too. It's been working very well. George, you have a powerful filter. May I ask what type of canister filter did you deploy to your tank?

  • dosent a name PLANTED TANK say you something?? or you have to bee a complete idk

  • I guess you've never heard of planted aquariums before. Not to mention the tank is already fully stocked for its size, even if there weren't any plants in there.

  • wat plant is at the front hc?

  • Very nicely planted aquascape. I approve!

  • The fish look like they're having fun swimming into the filter output.. over and over and over again. haha

  • why add nitrate and phosphate if you are also doing a weekly 50% water change?

  • lol , nah i think the tank is more about the plants

  • i think its flourite

  • what substrat is on the botton?

  • cool a want something like that

  • how do you maintain ph in such a small tank. i wanted to do the same but its botherin me that my tap water is hard , and the fish need a more acidic enviroment to survive iv heard that even though they may look healthy their internal organs may fail them in hard water. esp how this guy is doing 50% water changes every week. how do you do it.

  • What cute little tank! plants look reeeeaaaally healthy . .

  • Can anybody explain, please, what for is CO2 -sistem if fishtank overcrowded? Don't fish produse enough CO2?

  • a CO2 system injects CO2 into the water through a diffuser and planted tanks need a addition of CO2.There not enough produced by the fishes so extra has to be needed.without overcrowding.

  • it looks incredible great job dude

  • It's a Hairgrass just as DeviantUK said, but I'm pretty sure it's Eleocharis acicularis which grows bigger than Parvula.

Also, I'm not sure how hard it is to obtain in the US but it's pretty common in pet shops where I live.

  • these tanks are impoted from malaysia and china

  • The grassy plant is commonly called Hair Grass. Its proper name is Eleocharis Parvula, though there are different types that grow to different heights.

You're unlikely to find it in your standard fish store. Look online :)

  • Information on Cichlids is available at TheExoticFish . com

  • What is the wattage of lighting on this tank?

  • turn off your lights for three days..or buy some anti-algae..

  • and also do 50% water change every week and find out what's causing the algae.

  • is that ricca on the bottom of the tank? As you said you have high light levels, but it's extremely apparent because your able to grow your coat of Ricca so beautifully!

  • Makes me want to bring out my old 10 gallon.

  • uhmm whats a nano and how do u make it

  • nano mean really really really small

  • this is awesome

  • insane! (in a good way)

  • can anyone tell me what is nano tank? x( im lost

  • small tank

  • Personally I find having captions that cover the entire video tiresome.

Why not simply put them in the bottom third of the video with a black background? This would look better and reduce bandwidth.

  • for all that work you should set up a big tank. my nano is just one and a half gal. it has 15 kinds of plants in it. no filter just light from a 60watt compact flourrecnt bulb. i do water canges once a week with rain water . as little work as posible. you work to hard for not much of a display.

  • i thought there were aweb that show step by step of how to setup

    but i forgot

    please help

the link would be help full

  • The Aug issue of PFK will have a step-by-step feature on this tank, as well as some pro photos.

    Cheers,

    George Farmer (PFK writer)

  • Check out the Practical Fishkeeping website for more details on this set-up.

  • what substrate is on the bottom of your tank?

  • I like it a lot. What kinda plants are those? The back looks like grass to me lol. Looks like you need to mow it down. Looks good though.

  • nice layout! and choice of plants !

  • The aquarium is an Iwagumi style tank and measures just 12" x 8" x 8" (30cm x 20cm x 20cm). It uses plants and fish that are naturally small to give the impression that the tank is much larger than it really is.

  • The fish are Microrasbora nana, which are sometimes sold under the trade name of Burmese neon green rasbora. This small species reaches a length of 1.5-2cm (sometimes a little larger in captivity) and comes from Myanmar (formerly Burma).

  • no, it is probably a sort of tetra..

  • Thanks for sharing! First time I've seen an Iwagumi aquascape on youtube!

  • i think tey are guppys

  • 5 gallon?

  • Hi george it's cheesyfeet of TFF.Great video!

  • Stunning! What fish are they? They look like danios of some sort, is that right?
