Yes, tecmo superbowl was great back in the days, but modern football games replicates the football experience much better (e.g. NFL2k5/All Pro Football 2k8, etc).

I did manage to find tecmo superbowl online a couple days ago. The 5 minute quarters were great. But 70 to 80 yard bombs in tecmo bowl seems wrong. It certainly brought back memories, but I much prefer modern day football video games.

This game literally is what finally pushed me to buy a PS3. I don't just want a "fun" game I want something that is challenging and advance. I got sick of going to the wii game section of a store and my best options are Hannah Montana, SpongeBob squarepants or a wii game that is less appealing than it's competition. Wii does have some good titles nomoreheroes,Mario galaxy, Metroid, brawl, and Zelda but after that their line up runs thin. I wish they would make something that is truly innovative.

I have this game for wii, and you get used to the controls after a while, but the main thing that royally sucks about the game is that there is no franchise mode or superstar mode, and you can't audible the reveivers' routes or change the blocking assingments.

I suggest to anyone that they buy the PS3 version or the Xbox360 version.
