I agree I should be PMing you but. Trust me after being on the Apple support line with a few technicians who were great. But all of us really didn't know that this was an issue when recording and editing with iMovie. It is good to have it here so people who want to do video's with their iPhones will know. thank you Sam for all your help
@KNSSconsulting Ah yes, it would be a help to others... Thats odd that the technicians didn't know either... try searching online for your problem... very specific search terms could render a forum page where someone else had the same problem and it was answered. I would find such a place for you, but I'm sure you can describe what is wrong better. If no such search result turns up then ask it yourself on a reliable apple specific forum. That's the best help I can give... PM me anytime, Sam
@KNSSconsulting I used the back facing one... make sure when you film that it's in landscape (horizontal) position. That might be your problem. If you have any more questions, please feel free to PM me instead of posting here in the comments ;-)
What did you edit the video in? Are you using iMovie on the phone or your Mac? I tried to edit the video using iMovie on my iPhone 4 before coping it over to my PC and it made a boarder on each side of the video. Did you run into that problem?
@KNSSconsulting On this video I used iMovie on my phone... that's odd it did that for you... check that you didn't check some weird setting in iMovie or while uploading to your computer that chops the dimensions.
Hey Sam, How did you use your iMovie and iPhone 4 to upload this video. I tried using just my iPhone for everything. Recorded the video, edited it using iMovie on my iPhone and then tried to upload to youtube from iPhone but it didn't come out 720p HD. How did you do it?
@KNSSconsulting I ran into the same problem you did and found direct uploading from the iPhone to YouTube will not generate 720p video. What I do is plug my iPhone into my mac and open the program ImageCapture (look in the applications folder, it's already there). Copy the video files you want from your phone to your computer and upload as normal. If you don't have a mac then you'll have to download a similar program for whatever operating system you use. 720p is only possible by plugging in.

@TheMagicofCurtis Since the sides are flat, I can just stand it on its side. I'm glad you liked it.
