The women are not finding a man to create a family . So there is no breakdown because the family never existed. Some women have decided they've waited too long and they want to be mothers. A 35 yr old woman's clock is ticking. She only has so much time. Anyway, recent studies show that black single middle class women are more likely to NOT have children because they're WAITING to create a family or they've given up. Black women dying alone and childless, now are you happy? Of course you are.

I make WAY more than $76,000/yr and I was going to have a child on my own. Many of my friends I went to graduate school with were planning on doing the same thing. So yeah, Black women ARE making this choice. I got married prior to the deadline I had set for myself. I think this is more common than you think. Fathers are not optional. You see the woman said she's been single, "since the fatboys broke up." Waiting for a BM with the right qualities could mean you NEVER get to be a parent.

You can't find a decent man, so you should go childless? That's crazy. Women have only so many years to have children then the door closes NEVER to open again. They're not putting the child through anything. These are well educated women who are doctors, lawyers, PhD. holders who can't find men. The child will be financially stable, surrounded by family and well cared for. It's not the same as raising a child in the rat infested projects with crack addicts.

I'm talking about my friends and myself. We are lawyers, doctors and PhD holders who have had trouble finding viable partners. I was lucky enough to find someone. I've lost touch with my friends, maybe they weren't as lucky.
