If there were armed citizens in the crowd where congresswoman Giffords was shot the attacker may have been neutralized and prevented from causing as much harm as he did. I'll take a wild guess and say that he has never looked around the world at other western nations. No country has anything like the access to guns that the US has and none of those countries have anything even vaguely approaching the violence that is prevalent in America. If there were armed citizens in the crowd where congresswoman Giffords was shot the attacker may have been neutralized and prevented from causing as much harm as he did. Besides- Chris Matthews is questioning this man about whether of not he is a "birther"? How the hell is that relevent to the reason that man is on the show------ HE"S TRYING TO DEMONIZE THE MAN BEFORE HE EVEN GETS TO THE ARGUMENT!!!

@JawsJaws Chris Matthews isn't an asshole, sure at times he can be rather pompous, the late president John F. Kennedy was one of the most influential heroes of Chris Matthews life. Knowing this it doesn't seem all to crazy that Matthews would be disgusted by the fact that a person carried a loaded weapon to a presidential speech. It's insane that there are people who would even consider doing this.

@HeresWhatThink Matthews is a huge JFK fan, so I can see why he was so disgusted. Lee Harvey Oswald was holding his anti-JFK sign with his loaded weapon on his hip right before he shot the president.
