I'm just now looking into schools for my pilot's license. Watching that landing had my heart racing, and I was just sitting in an office chair! Geezzz... what am I getting myself into?
Very nice Sean. Looks like it was pretty dark under that layer. I'm working on my rating and we shot a 300 and 1 in to Galveston (home base) last week. Gets your heart going in a hurry. What were the tops of that layer?
Really nice approach. So that's what minimums looks like eh? ha I'm going for my test in a few weeks and flying in clouds during the winter up here in the northeast isn' t the most intelligent thing to do in a cessna.
Hats off to an awesome approach/landing. I've landed at KAUS a few times, but only VFR. I fly out of KDWH in Houston if you've ever done any flying in this neck of the woods.
Great video! Taking my Imc next week, looking forward to ILS approaches. Thanks for sharing your video.

is that cargo operations that have you going in and out of AUS and HOU?

Very good lesson on the various types of approach, runway & taxiway lighting systems.

SWEEET very nicely done. Looks like you broke out (if you can call it that on a day like that) at the very last second!

I think it was around 2500, but it was dropping pretty quick. I departed about an hour later and it was 1200.
