I suggest going to his Supervisor and telling them the story. While they may try for a counter charge (he aggravated me) it won't fly long. It's a standard tactic to get people to drop charges. Don't be intimidated. It will only take one or two times that a SCI gets arrested to stop their actions. They are testing the waters to see what they can get away with. The Supervisor will handle it differently. Also call the local media about the police not protecting the rights of a peaceful protester.

Seattle PD's handling of this was almost worse than the assault.
Seattle PD said that communicating with him "singled him out" even though he initiated every conversation. Seattle PD also said that video recording him with audio put me in the wrong.
Basically I was threatened by the cops that if I didn't drop the complaint I would be arrested for harrassment and named in the public record for the Scientologists to fair-game me.
It's also known as "blaming the victim". The perp CHOSE to hit someone regardless of motive.
And sometimes, that attitude causes more emotional damage than the original assault because if it happens too frequently it can cause a state called, "Learned helplessness" because when a victim of assault attempts to fix the situation--they're blocked from finding the way to resolution.
Fortunately, I believe you are following a useful course of action to undo this.
As I was walking up and down the sidewalk with my sign that had a pic of David Miscavige which said "Hey Scientology, we found your PTS!" crazy Scientologist jumped out of his truck and walked up to me very aggressively after he'd been sitting in his truck for 20 minutes laughing at us and leering at the girls.
He punched me in the stomach, grabbed my shoulder, broke open my camera housing and then tried to steal my camera.
There wasn't one second of violence or assault. The Anonymous assholes are just as lame as the guys they're bothering.

It's also known as "blaming the victim". The perp CHOSE to hit someone regardless of motive.
And sometimes, that attitude causes more emotional damage than the original assault because if it happens too frequently it can cause a state called, "Learned helplessness" because when a victim of assault attempts to fix the situation--they're blocked from finding the way to resolution.
Fortunately, I believe you are following a useful course of action to undo this.

As I was walking up and down the sidewalk with my sign that had a pic of David Miscavige which said "Hey Scientology, we found your PTS!" crazy Scientologist jumped out of his truck and walked up to me very aggressively after he'd been sitting in his truck for 20 minutes laughing at us and leering at the girls.
He punched me in the stomach, grabbed my shoulder, broke open my camera housing and then tried to steal my camera.
