this is a retarded question but. i was looking to buy a bike that would be good for jumping and riding in the woods+open land. and i kinda needed some help. im 13 about 101 pounds :( message me if you kno a good bike
I drink coffee and enjoy this very good video, " i hope to buy a bike soon as well"..(what are you waiting for ??)///////DRZ rider <<<It is a lil soft in the suspension(2000 model) and lil heavy and the seat bites... do the mods all the easy ones and toss the tires
I'm a X Moto-X Racer, but got outta the sport back in early 1980's. Finally bought myself another bike just this past March. It is a '07 DR-Z400s, and I have more fun with it than I did with my RM's. I can ride it anywhere. It has twice the power, and is a BLAST !!!!
Great Video of your DRz, I am From down under (AUS) and interested in buying a DRz for both dirt and road. Can you give me a owners comment on the bike for both styles of riding and the power?
I had a '97 DR350SE. Had it up over 90 mph (130 km) on the freeway. I am 6'8". Had a 600 Honda XR before that, the DR is TONS more power to weight ratio. XR weighed 250 Kg, DR weighs only abou 130 kg.....(500 lbs vs 269). DRs are incredibly lightweight, maneuverable, reliable, powerful, and fun bikes. Their trail performance is legendary.
running a 14/44 and knobs I hit 92mph on the motorway on my E...fricken scary on a tall bike, no fairings, open face helmet...can't say I agree with your comment on it being a light bike , but sure is fun, torquey and reliable like you say.
i have a 2001 drz 400 with rm 250 forks and shock also the drz looks alot better with an rm 250 front fender

Cool video. I'm going to get one soon for my first bike but I think I will go for the SM version considering I will be about 80/20 street/trail.

I expect to have a bike SOON. What I'll buy is a toss-up between the Honda xr650L and this bike.

Most of my riding is an even split between highway, dirt.
