@Amansel1 are you joking? it is actually IMPOSSIBLE to use them with acrylic nails. my mum has them, and most of her work colleagues have them, but it's impossible to have an iPhone with them. My mum needs a smartphone but the blackberry keys are pretty darn small so it's way easier just to get a stylus and an iphone, and cheaper too. apple had a HUGE design flaw when figuring out their touch screen, in respect of acrylic nails. a huge portion of their target demographic have them.

You can't - the screen requires something around finger-size to recognize - it won't consistently recognize a tiny point.

This actually works. the iPod touch uses a capacitive multi - touch screen for accuracy and is much more sensitive than the ds screen the ipod touch screen works by measuring electrons in your fingers so the tinfoil pencil trick works by tranfering those electrons throught the tin foil and parts of the pencil to the screen there for meaning the object your using on the screen has to be conductive for the screen or device to respond. Period

It's not heat sensitive. Pretty obvious if you think about how the temperature of your hands and things around you change.

It uses a conductive surface, when the circuits connect over a large enough area (finger tip size) it activates. This is also why a small stylus wont work.

First its a heat sensor not a conductive. Metal and foam is used because they conduct heat properly so the ipod/iphone can detect it. Gloves won't work because the stylus transfer the heat from your finger to the devicee

I got mine off Ebay for £7.00 and it came with two clips.one for iphone and one for ipod touch.but after about two weeks of constant use the tip becomes compressed and thenit does require more and more pressure.I Ended up getting a cheaper model called 'touch screen pen' from hmv for £4.99 which is brilliant

the problem with iphone is that it uses some surface technology (i think) i bought a cheap iphone stylus and it can only read the tip if its angled properly

even the FAKE iphone (chinese clone) works better and comes with stylus that slots in like a DS
