Wow, 1896 was the year that my grandmother was born! With the advent of the motorcar, she decided that she had been thrown from a horse for the last time & never looked back. In fact, she was the first licensed female driver in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada when it wasn't considered to be a woman's place to operate a motor vehicle. If I had a quadricycle, I'd dress in period clothing and tour around the neighbourhood with it just for fun!
About 44-years later (in 1939) Henry Ford, sole proprietor of the Ford Motor Company, personally, was making 1-Million dollars PER DAY.....and that's back when a Million dollars was worth something!
@jgmagoo1 A million dollars is still worth something, a typical house is far less than a million, plus a car, plus a college education plus groceries for quite some time where do you live if you don't think 1 million dollars is worth something?
Thanks for such a great detailed video! I really enjoyed watching and figuring out how it all worked. It was a very ingenious but simple design. Love how the rocker at the rear controls the valve and the spark at the same time, for both cylinders! Also love the differential gear design! You did a great job of documenting the operation of this little wonder, most videos I've seen are not as detailed as yours. Thanks!
@Fersomling You can build a Rhodes Car bicycle (2 seat) and put a motor bicycle engine or tiller engine on it and do the same thing, but go about 40mph.
henry for is in my family no joke

Wow, that thing moves out quite well. Props to the builders, and it proves Henry's genious.
I want to build one with modern ATV controls being the only change.
