Live at pompeii is the best live album. It's the only live version of echoes I really loved. However the live version of this on Ummagumma is the best version they ever did IMO.
Pure magic!!! it's like feeling your soul bleeding into the universe whilst frantically trying to keep a hold of it, but you just have no other option but to let go and drift through the cosmos
this song is about a roadie who worked for pink floyd, he was carrying a guitar and roger shouted not to drop it. in a trip on LSD they reformed the story and made it look like an axe murder.
This is best version of this song. I wanted to buy this as an MP3 but the available version doesn't crunch like this one does and I don't think that the CD is available. So I consider myself lucky to have taped this before I stupidly sold my album ages ago.
genius in every single second. my brain melts in with the music. my breath turns slower, my eyes wider, my eyes close, the stars laugh at my soul, and i just go with the flow
@podhead2112 So true. Especially with early Pink Floyd (Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Atom Heart Mother, Ummagumma, Meddle). The later Pink Floyd is so-so, but especially with the early Pink Floyd, you are so correct.
I'm never quite ready for that scream when it comes. Waters isn't my favorite person these days, but I have to admit, you have to be a true artist to sing like he does.

once they're way a party in my home and a remember a couple of friends who arrived à 12 at night at the same moment when that guy in Pink Floyd screemed, my friends where very scared, they thank there was murder at home that night. :)
Today's mainstream music needs to contain something about sex just to sell, whether it be the music video or the lyrics. It all just makes me cringe so much. However, there is still some good music out there :D

@89Pigsofdarkness try listening to music that isn't on the Top 40's list. Support new bands that are real. It's a systematic takeover driven by profit and control. Peace to the ones who do it for love and not money.
@Pyramidstation actually i dont hate todays music i actually enjoy it sometimes: when i go clubbin etc. but it has lost certain aspect. it has become only about fun fun fun, emo feelings, fun, some more teenager feelings. music has lost the spiritual aspect and i like that much more than the rest. thats why i called it ''shit''. i was in my oldies mood when i wrote this maybe i exaggerated a bit... i still think today's music cant come near the oldies.
