yes and no. linux is great cause its unix based and its free but it lacks ease of use. linux os needs to do away with the terminal for basic use to ever become a series os. this is why os x and windows has taken off. ubuntu 9 and fedora 10 did away with a lot but you still need to use it to install drivers and what not. now, os x is a lot like linux in the fact its unix also. they have the same core structure but os x dont need terminal and install of apps/os is the easiest thing ive seen.
What are you planning to do with this dell exactly?
