@ 1:00 That combo can only be done with balrog because he can make serious damage with his one charging hit. If you spent alittle bit of time to understand how that combo happened, you'd realize that dhalsim actually lost more than 75% of his health bar which would definately yeild another ultra to use.

@BobbyDigital314 tool assisted only in the sense that these sequences were programmed into a controller, as opposed to being performed manually. everything you see here is possible in the game with no code alterations

Good combos, love Sim... however I'm not following the last one against balrog... Sim already done his ultra but its recharged back up almost instantly from balrog's turn punch, that possible or was it a training thing? Cheers.

Balrog's Turn Punch can do A LOT of damage if held long enough.

After he executed his Ultra, he took all the damage of the punch, causing it to refill his Revenge Gauge.

A fully charged turn punch from Balrog gives Sim an Ultra immediatly.

Fully charged TAP is 560 dmg, i think it takes 75 seconds to fully charge so almost the full match, but yeah 500 dmg is enough to give ultra to most people... not enough for gief i dont think , he needs 600 dmg for ultra. I could be wrong, but thats from what i remember of the facts, which is half your life of straight dmg (no chip dmg) for base ultra

What does Tool Assisted mean?

It means the game was emulated, using tools such as slow motion or advancing the game frame-by-frame. The video is then output at standard speed.

In this case though (more of a fighting game variation of the term), it means the video was made using programmable controllers. These controllers can be given frame-specific inputs so they can perform combos or create situations too difficult or fast for human hands.

Oh that's too bad. It kind of takes away from the impressiveness of the vid knowing that it was done with a modded controller. Oh well... it saves me from countless frustrating hours trying to do these combos myself. :)

Actually half of 'em aren't that unreasonable. The one against Cammy is pretty easy. I was testing it manually before i scripted it. In fact i don't even know why i scripted it. Just to have the script for future reference i guess.

The one against Seth is pretty easy too. I tested a bunch of variations by hand before scripting that one.

Hardest ones are the one against Rufus and the last one against Balrog, mostly because you gotta wait 56 seconds between each try. Took me all day.

Funny thing is, i'm using PS1 controllers because that's the last time they made good ones. Analog killed the program pad.

Only if the super hits in the air, so if they're on the ground then you need to knock them down using Yoga Flame or something.

Then what you can do after the super depends on how high they were when it connected and also on the opponent's character. Balrog is really easy to juggle, Viper is pretty hard. So i used the slowest attack for Balrog and a quick one for Viper.

Far standing LK works on almost everyone though.

Wow dude, the thing you did versus Rufus and Boxer at the end really stood out.

Getting the Final punch to rebuild Dhalsim's revenger super and having it interrupted by the first one was really creative. Not to mention all the air drills that you managed to combo.
