the reason is because sound travels faster through helium than it does through normal air, so when you breath in the helium and then exhale it while speaking the timbre of your voice changes because the sound waves are reaching other people's ears faster, similar to the doppler effect

Well its it possible for it to NOT have helium? They DID have helium, the balloons were 3 weeks old so they deflated. Not my stomach, i have a sore throat and a fever.
