Even so, this was handled well. They probably should have turned the mic off. Also in the begining of the stop when the suspect gets out of the vehicle, there are a good 15-20 seconds where the officer just lets him stand behind him with his hand in his pocket, but this would not warrant and IA investigation. Just officer safety.
I think this was under investigation because at the end of the video his mic is still on and he is talking about how he writes the most DUIs but he gives them to another officer who is on a grant so that they can get more money from the grant. Not sure if that is why it was taken to IA but that's the only thing I could think of.

I do not understand why this is under investigation? I assume from looking at the video he did them a favor and let them walk home.
