  • Sorry, was about to link to two songs on my site where I use Edirol, but only one came up. Anyways, the other one except "Why the rum is always gone" is called "Varg".

I mix Edirol with other VST´s, to get a little more of that extra as you will hear, but I find it pretty nice to use. Still using VST/32 from the late nineties though... LOL.

  • oops wrong url heres the right one watch?v=afCA261oIJ0

  • Very nice check mine out tell me what you think sorry if its a little quite watch?v=kXroaBtW51w

  • I have a score using the Edirol VST on my page which gives a good representation if you fancy checking it out. Good work on this x

  • great job

  • considering the limitations of this software, this person did an AWESOME job, in my opinion~~

  • lol why i must buy East west symphonic orchestra edirol orchestral is better :)

  • @Fistler01 east west is better :/ but it take a holy shit diskspace

  • @TranceBusiness thats true the diskspace is not the problem, the problem is the expensive price -.- if i buy all east west programms i would give over 5000 dollars to east west and then i need a fucking ilock key or something to unlock this shit, ok the next problem ist the holy fucking place on diskspace for the complete libarie you need over 500 gb or more for expansions ,

fuck east west -.- i hate this rly unfair shit to make musik :( -.-

  • very nice

  • Hey if you like, check out my videos, I made them all using the Studio Instruments Package and at least I find the strings sound pretty good. I really liked this arrangement.

  • Did you already thought of buying a better quality software? Just look for Quantum Leap, they got very good sound production tools.

  • @UltimaOnlinePro vienna instruments and nobody says anything about bad sound :D

  • good composition, you just need to translate it over to something other than edirol like Miroslav :)

  • is this soft wear a rompler it sounds like it

  • con canon?

jaja muy bueno si pones ligar a los instrumentos como las cuerdas(string) sonará mucho mejor

  • Sounds like a synthesizer. I guess I'll try something else like Vienna Symphonic

  • i like it.....good melody!! check mine out in ur video response, let see what u think about it

  • i like the melody!!! good one!!

  • Not bad. Though try alternating samples and changing the filters a bit in your sampler for each few notes. This can really make a difference. This may not be obvious with a thick accompaniment but it is in the beginning with the solo instrument. Keep it up

  • is there something a step up from edirol other than EWQL? I'm looking for orchestral as well as electric guitar synths. Either bundled individually or together

  • this doesn't sound like film music. But it's good on its own merits.

  • Good but this doesn't really sound like film music.

  • Edirol sounds like Playstation one MIDI music (like the soundtrack from Final Fantasy VII) Particulary, I preffer EWQL samples, but Edirol is great to compose in Sibelius, since EWQL eats much RAM and Processor. Anyway, I like the piano from EWQL and I use that in live gig...

  • @marcustiso - how did you manage that? People are looking for Sibelius soundset files for Edirol but none appear to exist.

  • @CrankCase08 I used the Edirol Orchestral as VST in Sibellius. It's available in Sibelius since 5.0. But now I have a server (AMD Phenom x4, 8gb RAM, 500gb HD) with Windows Server 2008 x64 and all EWQL samples running in Kontakt 4. I use a simple MIDI network now where my old PC is the host, running Windows 7 and Sibelius 5. The server runs the samples and all the composition is made in my old PC that sends via MIDI the music notation to my server. Basically, my server acts like a MIDI device.

  • @CrankCase08 to do that configuration, I broadcast the audio digitally via S/PDIF from server to host. Both is using M-Audio cards. Host uses M-Audio 192 and server M-Audio 1010 LT.

  • @marcustiso - Is there any source where I can find out details of doing all that kind of stuff? It seems to be a good (albeit complicated) method of overcoming the shortcomings of various software.

  • @filmcomposeruk hey its good i think once u try in low tempo bit slow it will touch like emotional scene till 2:20 min.

  • Super tebrik ederim. :)

  • you have a typo in your descriptionbox :D

the music is nice, just the quality of music is poor but you already mentioned that. but good work! :D

  • great composition. You need a new reverb though...its kinda weak and fake sounding.

  • did you find it 'annoying' to save/ipload edirol? by default edirol not save our preset isn't? the sound is excellent but I have to go back and forth to save and upload the instrument everytime in my Sonar...

  • ABSOLUTLY AMAZING!!!! 5*****

  • Yeah, you should get symphobia. Though, I am impressed with the song you made even though it's the cheap Edirol. I like it. =)

  • I'm not convinced by the sound of the strings - they sound a bit like a reed organ.

  • Good for Edirol HQ.

  • EWQL and Symphobia all the way, see the attached video for a demo I made in 24 hours with the two VST's. I can't ask for anything more. I can create everything with a 32-bit 3Gram computer and not lag nor crash. Start using reverb and pan with your sections, just like a normal symphony layout. Brass and WW's on the right, violins & contras on the left, violas middle, percussion spread out in the back with the soaking reverb. 5* for the story behind this music!

  • Have you used the Miroslav Philharmonik or the EastWest Samples? If so, which Orchestral plugin do you like the best?

  • Miroslav is one of the best.. it has clear realistic sounding sounds , EastWest also is amazing but eats more memory and it sounds the same as Philarmonik

I use both.. but I mostly use phila in most of my songs

  • sounds good...did u use any reverb on it tho?

  • Thankyou, I did use Reverb indeed :)

  • hahaha great I always use the "fat" franch horns when I do film scores to mka eit more epic. I'll be uploading my film demos soon

  • hi,

may i ask You how to join Edirol Orchestral with Cubase sx, so as to let them work together , in order to let me control everything?

Your reply would be much appreciated

(by the way, Your music sounds good, even though technically monotonous here and there, same rhythms for every part, a bit more analogic rhythms, melodies and harmonies then every ones'taste would be a little bit more satisfied, dont You think?à la Arnold Schoenberg' methodology

    HI

  • georgiowee......First you have to install the Edirol Orchestral VST into your VST folder in Cubase. Then boot up a new project in Cubase and open the Edirol Orchestra in your instrument panel. Edirol has 16 instruments across 16 midi channels, so thats how you can control it.

  • i dont like the quality of sound

  • No, i agree... it's not the greatest sound quality, i'm still learning how to use the equipment!

  • @filmcomposeruk the quality is great, the composing needs a bit more time, but still, its great like that

  • Edirol orchestra is a fine piece of kit - the VST is not the problem here. It is the music - It's simply boring and not very well played........samey, derivative and yawn......

  • @throbule

id really like to see you compose something better??......i hate ppl who talk shit but have no base to stand on....

post something better then run ur mouth

    your just embarrassing.....

    -JuNki3 -_-

  • You are an ageing American with scruffy old dogs and a bunch of tarts as friends! What the fuk would your know about anything? And who asked you to poke your yankee nose into my right to have an opinion? - You need to get out more old timer.......

  • Fucking idiot DUMBASS. If that is your real name. If you know anything about music, you would know that this is a very well composed piece. The playing is good too. From what you wrote, I know right away that you have no musical knowledge. Just wondering around hating on people who can actually make a good sound. The guy who made this is pretty much professional with many years of music experience. Just admit it. And that's just my opinion.

  • NathanLee......You arrogant so-of-a-bitch! I actually know quite a lot about music and I trust my ears. You know nothing about me so therefore your opinion is less than irrelevant sonny boy! Every listener has the right to an opinion about music and I expressed mine here but you, poor deluded asshole chose to attack me! Methinks you doth protesteth too much! Now go fetch me a cheeseburger and fries you fleabrain delinquint wretch - and make it snappy boy - I'm in a hurry.....LOL

  • Okay, I'll get you that cheeseburger Fatso. If that is your real name. Don't have to send me 3 messages saying the same damn thing. LOL.

  • OK so it seems you have a sense of humour at least. But why did you attack me? All I did was to offer an honest opinion dude!

  • I mean, you seriously think this sucked. What kind of music you listen to? This is classical based music. It sounded fine. But you can feel whatever you want. Like you said, it's just an opinion. Many i don't like some of the music you like. It's cool.

  • THis is pretty good man. 5*

I LOVE Edirol I Can't Stop Using It, You'll See This Beat I'm Working On Soon With It.

Nathan grow up everyone's entitled to their own opinion stop whining like a little btch and jump off the man's dick.

  • at least im not jumping on like you.

  • That would be hard to jump on considering your already on it. 3rd grade comebacks, Lmao how cute.

No wonder you only have one subscriber lmao.

  • Hahaha. I didn't even know I got a subscriber. I didn't sign up for subscriber. Don't even have any video up dude. Just here for the fun and to pawn your butt brain with my college level comeback.

  • that was nice!

  • Seriously Get EWQLSO or Viena Symphonic Library, because those synths were kinda cheesy, but goot job I think I would have like it if it didnt sound like a 8bit videogame song!

  • yea it did sound too computerized.

  • To Me It Sounded Just Right.

  • this is very good, unfortunately for my GCSE i composed mine on guitar pro and wasnt able to do much so i only scraped an A, im guessing you dicked an A*

  • y not use EWQL colossus it's more realistic but it needs 32GB space

  • cheesy ?? this is great ! i'd love to listen to other works of yours, cool stuff.maybe "cheesy" is only the piano part, but very little,,,

  • This is really good! Nice tune, i've done a short demo on my channel, would love to get your oppinion/feedback!

  • how much space does this vst use

  • It's about 100 MB, and is VERY CPU friendly. This is my current go-to VST. Love it!

  • 20-30 gigs

  • do you know why when i make changes to instruments and the save project.... everything goes default when project is loaded back up???

  • you need to save the sample settings seperately. Go to system > File and click save at performance.

  • good to know good lookin out !

  • Wow, this is nice, I wonder what this would sound like on quantum leap.

I was stuck using sample tank for my music compositions :S

  • hey! I think it's great! you did a wonderful job, great song. is there just one precussion hit in that whole song at 0:30? is that a tympanny or a bass drum? whatever that sound is you have it mixed really well! keep up the great work 5 stars!

  • Ah yes that's a timpani hit. Glad you like the music :)

  • That's because it isn't natural! Its digital.

  • Ah~~ i see ;)

    thx bro. u r so talented~

  • Some digital stuff sounds natural, you have to increase your skill in order to push the limit

  • this is a cheap $200 vsti. The guy did a damn good job considering that fact

  • Good job dude.
