  • another classic track from the bass master, cheers Marlowe !

  • Thomas, I have played bass guitar for 47 years and I hear you play some things during this songs that just make me sound like a beginner. I am playing them back over and over and it is an honor and privlige to hear you play.Plus it gives me an opportunity to steal the riffs you do! Hope Bass Guitar Magazine in USA finally does an article on you.

  • Sweet, can I recommend you play Teen Town by Weather Report? I have yet to see a bass player do it justice, and I know you have the ability! :)

  • BRAVO!

  • Sweet sweet blues! Stellar tone on your solo.

  • Hey now, you're not a guitar player. :-)

  • @Antiks72 No, but I like them a lot:-)

  • MarloweDK - The only guy who can make a hot pink bass look cool

  • If there would be a lesson from all this, it would be about the band. listen how the band as let him space in his solo. thats the key for a great bass solo.

  • @Karmaneoeric I agree but the guitar is still a bit loud though as far as I am concerned.

  • @j0c0b The camera is on top of the guitaramp;-)

  • Everyone sounds great. What kind of guitar is being used? It sounds a nice tone.

  • Just simply stunning..!

  • tight, in the pocket, killed it! Great job.

  • dis is gud shit!!! I like V much.

  • Har Martin en youtube konto?

  • Love it! Any chance you could do a kind of follow up lesson, explaining the scales and positions you used when improvising that solo?

  • @DougieNeish I believe it would all be the pentatonic scale! =)

  • @DougieNeish its actually just minor and major pentatonic scales, the key is the phrasing. I listen a lot to guitar players as you can probably hear;-)

  • @MarloweDK and see by the pinky thing, haha.

    amazing as always, man.

  • @MarloweDK Which jazz guitar players (or specific albums) do you recommend listening to?

  • @MarloweDK A lesson on phrasing too would be awesome ;)

  • @DougieNeish +1 all in phrasing! The best players can make two notes sound amazing for 5 minutes. Can't remember who but there was a famous sax solo where he played literally one note for the whole of his solo.

  • Can't believe there were that fewer people in the audience @MarloeDK! Thought it was only me playing gigs like that nowadays ;-)

  • the bass is great, the guitar not that much

  • finally somebody great enough as to put out some neaty jazz-blues lines out a Jazz BAss! pure class!
