dam he got grappling down, so systematic: get opponent to the ground, get in dominant position, make opponent tap he's a robot! his sweeps look so effortless. his back control is amazing he's almost guaranteed a submission once he takes someones back.
@AmericanFenian there is no point in having a GI on in the first place so why put one on. For mma and for streets you need to learn to fight against everything but the GI. in mma you all you are able to acutally hold is the persons gloves. also in mma you usually trying to hold sweaty bald skin witch is tricky and need different solutions then GI moves.
I can tell a big difference in my game when I started training in a Gi. I agree it's hard to hold someone with sweaty arms. As for in the streets, I've choked a guy out who punched me in a bar with his leather jacket. I used a collar choke and when he woke up he thought he won. I don't like to get into the Gi vs NoGi, but I enjoy taking the kimono off and going NoGi as well.

dam he got grappling down, so systematic: get opponent to the ground, get in dominant position, make opponent tap he's a robot! his sweeps look so effortless. his back control is amazing he's almost guaranteed a submission once he takes someones back.

@AmericanFenian there is no point in having a GI on in the first place so why put one on. For mma and for streets you need to learn to fight against everything but the GI. in mma you all you are able to acutally hold is the persons gloves. also in mma you usually trying to hold sweaty bald skin witch is tricky and need different solutions then GI moves.

I can tell a big difference in my game when I started training in a Gi. I agree it's hard to hold someone with sweaty arms. As for in the streets, I've choked a guy out who punched me in a bar with his leather jacket. I used a collar choke and when he woke up he thought he won. I don't like to get into the Gi vs NoGi, but I enjoy taking the kimono off and going NoGi as well.

Marcelo is hands down the best no gi grapper in the world. When you mix in the gi things change. He is proabably top 3 in the world in the gi in any weight class. Just because someone gets tapped doesnt mean anything. Techneque is the most important thing in BJJ not tapping someone.
