@beanhill74 its only spinning at bout 2400-2600 rpm its a 2 stoke detroit diesel meaning it fires every time the piston reaches top of the stroke instead of every other time like a 4 stroke diesel would, making it sound twice as fast.. great engines really strong but they only run stong on top end no lugging capacity like a 4stroke so if u lugg the motor down to much you might as well just stop cuz it bogg out soon anyways

I wouldn't be so sure... this is an american tractor I figure... and since the US Gov has HUGE funding and economic aids for large farmers (most of which are quite rich) I can perfectly see this being used. Plus, there are contractors (yeah, new word, frenchie, look it up) which will purchase a number of these and charge for their use, per hour. Since it's relatively efficient and cheap, many small farmers will probably end up using them. BTW, my father's a large farmer.

In the farming world its not about miles per gallon its about gallons per acre, with an 80 ft chisel plow behind this it would only burn about three quarters of a gallon of fuel per acre. You probably couldn't mow an acre of lawn on three quarters of a gallon of fuel so actually its quite enviromentally friendly if you ask me.
