  • To echo previous comments, why, oh why would you edit out the bass solo? Why go through the effort of posting an incomplete version of Sunrise? Can you put together Sound Chaser minus the guitar cadenza? :) Just messin with ya. Still, it's YES, so thanks for posting.

  • most underrated group of rock musicians of all time: especially Steve Howe !!!!!

  • I feel chills all over....amazing !!

  • music in large part is spirit-energy. it is what makes music magical, mystical.

jon was the spirit behind yes. yes without jon simply is not yes. sad, but true.

  • Tremendous performance by one and all. Yes without Anderson and Wakeman cannot be called Yes. In some ways, I admire Squire's tenacity but they seem to have become a tribute band of themselves.

  • wow

  • Thank You Rick Wakeman, Alan White, Chris Squire, Jon Anderson and Steve Howe. Marvelous Sound Quality! YES is who to thank!

  • modern days' team Mozart, aren't they? absolutely fantastic!!

  • i saw them yesterday, they were great. the new singer did a great job!

  • Masterly performance all-round! I love this track and they excelled in this performance. Fuckin' brilliant !

  • great post!!

    really miss this

    group of guys

    none better.

    tim

  • wow

  • you cut the best part, moron

  • Yes is yes.....just like Frankenstien is alive. But are they close to what they were?....as a lover of Yes music and a lifelong musician....i say no. Its MORE than just no Anderson....THAT would be bad enough...the band is souless and tired. everything is slower and less inspired....yep, there old...i get it. BUT dont dog Jon for 'straining' when the rest (besides Howe) are expired and going through the motions. Heres to classic Yes memories! Cheers!

  • @facesonmars One of these days, they are going to come onto stage with walkers and canes! . . . maybe a hover chair!

  • A minor complication ;(

  • Dude. Q: Who edits out the best freakin' part of a song? A: you did.

  • Seeing them live at Soldiers Field in Chicago with 80,000 of my best friends was unforgettable. Thanks so much!!

  • Why did you cut the best part of the song ! The beginning is AWESOME !

  • i got jipped out of squire's mind blowing riff

  • IF YOU LOVE YES, THERE IS SOMETHING VERY VERY SPECIAL ABOUT YOUR SOUL!

  • This is the original example of How is a ProgRock Song, and also a good example of how a song has to be done!!

  • Jon sounds like he's struggling with his asthma. God bless him for his courage.

  • dreamer easy in the chair that really fits you....my favorite line...Steve Howe makes it look so effortless....sigh, wish they could put their differences behind them.....

  • What a musical gift from God.

  • Prog Rock at it's finest. No other band can do it.

  • Stellar....

  • Where's Bill Bruford? :(

  • @senna01 Gone to join King Crimson! Top band but for me, Yes are the best.

  • @jetfueldrinker istn gavin harrison playing for crimson at the moment?

  • These guys are one of my favorite bands of all time. I love this masterpiece, and I can never get bored of listening to it. I can't wait to see Yes again very soon! :)

  • hahaha steve nice save at 6:24

  • Masterpiece ¡¡¡¡ Long Live YES ¡¡¡¡ BUT YES WITHOUT JON ANDERSON IS NOT YES ¡¡¡

  • @bigua1428 Quit while you're ahead. Yes is still Yes without Jon, just like it was in 1980. Would you rather hear Jon straining his voice like he is here? Even he has recently said he can't do long tours, which Yes is doing now.

  • @bigua1428 Yep

  • Respond to this video... I met Jon.Good singer good man good soul.

  • @bigua1428 I agree with you 100%

I have not gone to see them because he is not with them! Bring back Jon (and Rick!!!)

Wouldn't it be nice to see ABWH+Squire?!?!?!!!!!!!!

  • BELLISIMO!!

  • they skipped the best part...

  • Great music!

  • beautiful

  • BUENO, QUE EXCELENTE BANDA CUANDO VENDRA A COLOMBIA?

  • Masterpiece; nothing more nothing less. Played it 1M times. Still brings tears to my eyes.

  • You deleted Chris' entire solo! So disappointing - best part of the song.

  • Oh this takes me back! Rick's fat string chords made me want to be a keyboards player back in the day. I was for a while, but now I'm a bass player.

  • It's bullshit that Yes doesn't have the appreciation that deserves

  • Simply Magical.

  • The Chris Squire´s bass and vocals of Jon are SHARP!!! YES RULES!!

  • where's the bass & drum jam at the beagining?!

  • @trilobite3339 if nerd rock is defined as intelligent, dynamic, complex and well composed music, accompanied with a group of the most skilled musicians ever seen on the face of the earth, then nerd rock is probably the best genre of music out there. Yes kicks ass

  • nerd rock

  • @trilobite3339 You, generally have good taste on music, but Yes, nerd rock? Sorry, you have a momentary lapse of madness or a temporal audition disorder.

  • @trilobite3339 I remember that the trilobites are a form of primitive life, but palaeontologists took for extinct 300 million years ago ... And now it appears here one of these invertebrates that should be in a museum listening to boy bands or Disney's singers. And "yelow card" for the cut of the vid...

  • @trilobite3339

no, the nerds listen to commercial hip hop to become more popular and have a chance with th girls

  • This music is so awesome it almost makes me cry with joy... These guys are masters of experimental rock - and long may we enjoy MUSIC like this. No fads, no image, just pure musical talent. Agree with other post, that few even come close to these guys.

  • @gwalj

Yes, and they can still blow away bands half their age. Saw them in the early 70's and when they performed "Heart of the Sunrise", several audience members had to be carried out on stretchers. Ahhh. those were the days :)!

  • Like on the record itself! Beautiful!!!

  • Wakeman's movin' fast between them keyboards

  • terry nutkins has lost weight....

  • It's Funny... I feel like I didn't appreciate some of the bands I saw in concert like Yes, Floyd, Rush, etc .. when I was younger as much as I do now that I am older.

  • @PFTome you sir are very lucky, i would give anything to have seen Pink Floyd abd Yes in concert when they were in ther eprime, and im seeing Rush this April :)

  • why would you sacrifice the heart of this tune

  • 5:03 always makes me smile

  • THE BEST!

  • Lucky to see them three times, three decades. Wow!

  • I hate they have overlooked the bass part

  • YES RULES ALWAYS ¡¡¡¡¡ BUT WITH JON ANDERSON ¡¡¡

  • THE TIME LIMIT ON YOUTUBE IS NOW 15 MINUTES!!! please please please upload the whole video, ya know, with the EPIC BASS INTRO :)!)!)

  • Not just a bass player but a God of bass. Very few could even come close to his style or sound!!

  • 3 ppl have no musical knowledge

  • what a fancy, what a brain what a composition... marvellous!

  • Yes: proving you don't have to be good-looking to absolutely wipe the floor with other musicians.

  • what a moving song .. seen them at men manchester a few years back, amazing...

  • Will someone please get Steve a seat! He looks like he's about to shatter in to a million pieces. Brittle! Still awesome music.

  • I love Allan White but I'm sorry to say that I prefer Bruford on this song.

  • ...yes!

  • love howe!!!!!!!

  • from 6:44 to the end still gives me chills after all these years, just incredible, can anyone else feel it?

  • how can this much talent be in one band?

  • wow. who was the primary composer for this stuff ? puts most other prog-rock bands to shame. I mean, Gentle Giant used to be my fav but the more I listen to Yes...

  • Guitar Yoda

  • Faltal edition.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ♫ Masterpiece ♫

  • Run Rick Run!! 4:56

  • from 4:11 rick's epic solo show us why we love him

  • @UndisclosedUsername you call THAT a solo? It's an uninspired, mechanically executed fill - nothing else.

  • @AManAnd88Keys and why do you think that?

  • @UndisclosedUsername A solo is an improvised melody, played over a certain part of a song (A, B/Bridge etc.) or a group of chord changes. Rick doesn't play an improvised melody, merely a scale up and down - and for a few bars only, not on a cleary distinguishable part of the composition. Therefore, it's just a fill.

  • @AManAnd88Keys oh thanks for clearing that up for me

  • I don't get it--every clip from this show has many close ups of Steve Howe's flying hands. However--none of the supernal Chris Squire's!! Big Oversight.

  • I second that. How can you skip Chris? Every member in the band is amazing.

  • Lovely!

  • the hardest jobs here, in order, . .. vocals, guitar,. .. groupies

  • Howe at 7:17 . . you are expecting the high bend note and Howe blows you off.

  • We got 2 dislike on this. I will kill them for the right price.

  • After seeing this you have to tremmous respect for Anderson or any singer

    in general and not spelling.

  • YES ARE UNTOUCHABLE ... THERE WON'T BE ANOTHER BAND LIKE THAT ... EVER!

  • Donde está la parte de Chris Squier, porque editada..?? es un pecado editar esta obra maestra.!!!

  • LO MAXIMO

  • Yes have travelled from their roots but I agree with all the critics, this line up delivers the most yes of all the yes`s and I don`t think there is a better band on the planet to play this type of music . We love Yes

  • Overall, your edit job was well done, son obvious timing issue, smooth.

  • Steve Howe @ 4:29 looks like he's signaling to someone to pull the chain!lol!

  • @neil73 - He was saying, . .. yeah, get that blonde in front row,. . I wanna fuck tthat.

  • Ricks solo are wery great

  • If you've never seen it live, you've never seen the infinite. Words cannot describe a Yes concert.

  • Yes Rocks!

  • lol @4:33 "fucking million keyboards..."

  • with winds arms around me. WOW

  • Let's not forget Chris Squire, his bass playing is a revalation and a lesson on how to bring the instrument to new levels.

  • and he gets no video time here for some reason.

  • Alan white !!! what a fucking great drummer this guys is !!!

  • @papalazerus22 That he is, but still Bruford was the better of the two!

  • BigWhiteTurkey was here!

We love (and own) Granny's Herbs.

  • smoke em if you've got em turkey !!!!! LOL

  • I like how this version goes from busy to quiet without being too much of a volume jump, just a pace jump.

  • Edit in the beginning? No problem. A great great work in all respects..

  • I FEEL LOST IN THE CITAYYYY HEEYAAAAH

  • @Bonthius LOL

  • This music is just in a whole other realm. No one even comes close....

    Just, WOW!

  • @jettame can I ask you age?

  • Where is Chris Squire in all of tis great Yes stuff???!!! It's criminal that he has been left out of nearly all of the footage. Sad and strange.

  • ya i have a version of the song with the most epic bass line ever and they left it out thats such a bummer i love that bass line and the beat to it

  • so perfect, so pure...so beautiful!

  • No mellotron. ;(

  • bummer...

  • INCREIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ...also, regarding chris's tone, it's so crisp and clear, it sounds like it would cut right through me! :D

  • he plays a special Rickenbacker bass that has good upper midrange, with added stereo pick-ups, and splits the bass EQ through a bass amp, and the higher EQ through a guitar amp. I always loved the sound, and wondered how he got it.

  • I have to say, I'm really diggin' how rick's playing a keyboard using a regular piano sound starting at 1:21. I like the original version of course but this is definitely a very nice change.

  • Steve Howe is the man.....

  • Awesome, best line up ever, best musicians ever, quality material.

  • Two 'proper' bands I have seen and would stake my life on them producing a brilliant live performance are Yes and Genesis. They are not only performers but musicians..this is a superb video, thanks!

  • sooo jealous.. i would have loved to see both

  • solido

  • I just caught Yes in bethlehem PA or Musikfest, if u get a chance catch the 2009 tour...its amazing!

  • im goign to see them on the 8th of december in düsseldorf (germany ) im totally happy ^^

  • Great song! They are all great musicians, and their songs are all wonderful!

  • this song is so powerful, one of my YES favorites!!!! I LOVE YES!!!

  • Yes is the best but did the video editor forget that theires an amazing base player in the group! JEEZ

  • Sorry folks I did sacrifice Chris's brilliant bass solo and edit it out to make the whole song fit . I do love your Roger Dean animations ,wigginsdesign!

  • Sorry to be so blunt but I've noticed Chris being overlooked and sacrificed before...especially since he wrote the main riff and is wonderful to watch

  • bass*

  • @Kadoligam

    That;s Ok.

    It all sounds GREAT!!!!!!!!!1

  • @wigginsdesign The doctor, . . Dr. Chris Squire

  • someone produce some modern prog rock somehow ^^ pull your finger out and sort out the state that music is in! for cultures sake XD

  • Probably the most consistent band ever. They never fail to deliver a memorable show. Where and when was this ?

  • Montreux 2003
