To me, i have only played the first 2 on xbox, its like a nightmare. Can you remember some dark and real scary nightmares you DONT wanna relive/dream? Once something that scares you gets into your mind, you wanna get out of it. Like fatal frames. They are living nightmares, and really scary. They got under my skin a lot.

Its the fact they happen at night, and its ghosts, and many tricks and surprises in the game made to scare you.

the enemies here aren't something you can fight with guns or your fists (the only thing you have is your prehistoric camera!), total helplessness makes this game scary... i couldn't sleep 'til 6am O_O also... like Silent Hill series, it's ADDICTIVE

After watching a few cutscenes, the phone went off and I jumped. Fatal Frame really has a good way of holdin' a grip on you and keepin' you scared at all times. Now it's hard to walk around without thinking some pale, stretched face is waiting for you to turn around and face it. I love Fatal Frame; And everyones right. Do not play at midnight hours, especially by yourself with no lights. Did that last night when I had the house to myself... Not smart.

If you have surround sound, don't use it and don't play FF2 in the midnight hours. I know guys built like linebackers that won't even touch this game! I've had to cut off the game a few times because my imagination ran wild. They really did a bang up job on Fatal Frame 2 and 3. I know that the Nintendo Wii has got the 4th installment exclusively, but let's cross our fingers in hopes that the PS2 & PS3 will get their own special debut later.

Did you know that this was on the top 10 scariest games every made? I love this game but don't play it at night by yourself before you get ready to go to the bed. It makes you think things are there when they're really not. Going to the bathroom and needing to wash you hands is freaky too. One time I was washing my hands and I looked up in the mirror and my husband was giving a scary look in the mirror right after I played the game lol. Scared me to death.

I still remember waiting for half an hour hiding in the corner, with a butchers knife and a co2 metal bb gun, convinced that there was a burglar in the house who was after me. This happened after playing through the first 3 levels of condemned 2 at 12:00.

Second scariest thing of my life. Scariest? Well, that a tie between the last level of condemned, and the SCU building level of condemned 2.

Ive always found playing a scary game in third person isnt a frightning as first person. In third person you can see stuff behind you (at least briefly), in first person you turn around and get spooked by something in your face.

my bro whos 13 now, has beaten all the silent hills and he didnt even break a sweat and after watching him beat the last of them i realized why he didnt wet his pants! in silent hill u get cool weapons, guns and all that and the enemy just comes in front of u and u kill them but in fatal frame all u have is the Camera Obscura which makes it harder to kill the ghosts and they can appear ANYWHERE at ANYTIME so u should be prepared for anything !This is why Fatal Frame is better than Silent Hill !!
