This bill is a good bill. Not a great bill, but a good bill. But there are some problems I see with it. The people who will actually be benefiting the most from this bill is not the people of america. But more so the doctor and insurance companies. Because the insurance companies STILL have their exemption to anti-trust laws. They are not going to compete. And with the public option gone, they are definitely not gonna compete.

They won't be able to drop your coverage when you get sick and they can't put a limit on your benefits AND they will have to cover your children until they are 26. To answer his last question, no. The health care plan, although historic, won't be implemented until AFTER the mid-term elections, which is what will be the turning point for republicans. Although we do have a more progressive American mindset to thank for the election of our current president, the mid-terms could prove to be a decisive victory for the GOP.

But I will say this: the democrats may very well be paying the biggest price. America is give and take, and I'm betting the democrats had to call in a lot of favours to get this through. This bill is a good bill. Not a great bill, but a good bill. But there are some problems I see with it. The people who will actually be benefiting the most from this bill is not the people of america. But more so the doctor and insurance companies. Because the insurance companies STILL have their exemption to anti-trust laws. They are not going to compete. And with the public option gone, they are definitely not gonna compete.

They are all politicians, and the deal isn't perfect because of that more than anything. It isn't human error, it is some of them getting greedy.
Republicans are more of a problem than Democrats, but neither are the solution as a whole. We have people in both parties that may be part of a solution, but more of them are Democrats than Republicans unluckily, wish it was even myself. Insurance co. will make less money on every customer they have. They will be forced to spend 85% of the premium on actual care or refund you. Their ability to increase premium price will be limited. They won't be able to drop your coverage when you get sick and they can't put a limit on your benefits AND they will have to cover your children until they are 26. And no, states don't have the right to opt out of a federal law. It's called "federal supremacy clause" and it's in the constitution.

To answer his last question, no. The health care plan, although historic, won't be implemented until AFTER the mid-term elections, which is what will be the turning point for republicans. Although we do have a more progressive American mindset to thank for the election of our current president, the mid-terms could prove to be a decisive victory for the GOP.
