  • @sterlinged It's ruined almost every country.

  • Cinnawaffls: Our society has just hit rock bottom... People had CLASS back during this era.... Now with Hollywood producing filth & violence, people will never know what it was like to live like human beings... Moral decay, anything goes attitude has ruined our once great country........

  • @sterlinged are you fucking kidding me? this time wasnt classy, this was just a movie, the reality was diferent, racism, prostitution (actress were whores)...everything was exactly as shittier than now, except for the music...todays music sucks cocks

  • @fachawassi . Ok and you are saying the women of today are angels.? I at least remember in my day most of the women i knew were decent. and by the way from what ive experienced..........most men have always been peverts..so quit thowing the word whore around..So i guess you are the PERFECT MALE..ya right..i think you are just another perv.

  • I miss that music too but it changes as time goes by

  • Actual quote: "Play it once, Sam, for old times' sake, play 'As Time Goes By'." – Ingrid Bergman (Casablanca)

Actual quote: "You played it for her, you can play it for me. ... If she can stand to listen to it, I can. Play it." – Humphrey Bogart (Casablanca)

  • Play it again, Sam

  • We'll always have paris.

  • so beautiful

  • ✰✰✰✰✰.......beautiful,thanks 4 this upload.

  • one of my all time favs <3

  • Great song, and a great movie!

  • The best song ever! The best video ever!

  • We've become so sloppy as a society, so lost, so perverted...this is coming back, even better, the fight for love and glory, but don't look for it mainstream...lovers are the heroes, those who know the dignity of the unborn baby, and of the dignity of the sick and elderly...you want that kiss at 2:40? Live a life of virtue. Otherwise, you're just dumpster diving. Living a life of dumpster diving.

  • @AndreaMaciejewski Your judgments are so harsh I believe you're missing the point of the song. I agree that some aspects of modern society are pretty low brow, but many of them are good too. And it wouldn't matter if the world was in complete shambles, the point of the song is no matter what happens to us we will always fall in love. You don't have to live to a certain standard to find true powerful love. In fact NO matter how you live, it is inevitable that you'll find it :)

  • I love this song!!!!

    Great video!!!!

  • God i love Sinatra

  • I miss when music was more sophisticated.... even though I wasn't alive to see those days...

  • this makes me wanna watch Casablanca again

  • 19 people are Twilight and Justin Bieber´s fans

  • @dfelix007 Oh ffs, please don't bring that crap to this video. I'm sick of those stupid comments.

  • Great song for one of the best movie ever!

  • smooth,, sung by a smooth gentleman about another smooth gentleman. i feel you both, well done. your pics are on my wall in frames. so many smooth like us. peace. thanks.

  • I still much prefer Dooley Wilson's version of this song.

  • As time goes by, it remains true, this song is still beautiful

  • Like this if u heard it on family Guy!!!!!!! Lol Great song

  • Comment removed

  • play it sam :)

  • What was wrong with Dooley Wilson's rendition to warrant this recording?

  • @OrodesIII I much prefer Dooley Wilson's version

  • This song reminds me of a girl who disappeared on me before we became friends. I adored her and let her slip through my fingers. I hope she finds this comment and will take me back as a person in her life. ANNE aka *BARTONFERGUSON* please don't leave me alone. Please help me find happiness. I miss you - Tim

  • one of my most beloved movies! oh, how quotable it is!

  • Very beautiful,thanks my friend.

  • I would have to say frank's version is def best after Dooley's!

  • Casablanca is one of my favourite films. To the person who said its hard to follow, you obviously wasn't watching cause its not rocket science. I want Sam's version of this but I can't find it without talking in it!

  • You know I actually met a young women like this once! She was my ingrid bergmann

  • Avremo sempre Parigi.

  • I hate this movie. Casablanca, to me, is one of the most overrated movies of all-time. But this song is incredible. One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written.

  • @tygear34 i'll agree with you. i've actually never finished the movie. really hard to follow, cinema-wise; but this song is like the theme of the movie, i love this song in Sinatra's voice, this one will stay a memorable classic.

  • @tommyv331992 Not really hard. People are on the run from the Nazis. Casablanca is a semi-safe haven. Rick has a bar there. The love of his life walks back through those doors, with her husband. They are attracted to one another still but Rick is bitter because she ran out. They have a romantic talk, make plans to leave. Rick gives up Ilsa and has her and her husband leave Casablanca to keep up the Resistance. End of story.

  • @tygear34 true while it not the best film ever made that would be the shawshank redemption but its still a classic

thats why so many people like it and yes the song is incredible in frank's voice so that makes the song even more beautiful

  • @Eternalgamers1 The "best film ever made" is debatable. It all results to personal preference. Shawshank Redemption is a beautiful film, but I find that a film like Citizen Kane is far more brilliant and overall a better film protrayed through bold filmmaking...

  • @KayWildcat yes the best film ever made is debate able its a matter of opinion both citizen Kane and the shawshank redemption are beautiful films and deserve a spot on the the top ten list. a film like battleship Potemkin is also a very well directed well edited and a great film but it's just a matter of opinion i once had a girl say to me the best film ever made was monte Carlo (dumb bitch) it all depends on the kinds of film you like

  • hey Stop knocking the Obama thing.. this is my top film and song. My second 2nd favourite is South park bigger longer and uncut, with "Shut your fucking face Uncle fucker" art is art in many forms and I hope everyone can find their art in any way possible.

  • Out of all the gin joints in the world she walks into mine.

  • play it sam

  • cannot stop loving it :)

  • who sings this version? I know its not Dooley Wilson (Sam)

  • @silverhellfire Frank Sinatra

  • finally reached 1.000.000 views

  • The greatest singer of all time singing one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Brilliant...

  • :)))

  • @gosinka555 here here mate well said

  • Why is "Mr. Bean Goes to the Swimming Pool" the #1 most recommended video for this?

  • Obama would have been given a particular necktie during that time. As of for the song, it's beautiful, during times when Music wasn't manufactured nonsense like it is today.

  • i´m looking for a version from the 1980´s .. can anybody help me pls?

  • @HighVoltageTechno What do you mean? Do you know the name of the performer??? There are several versions of this song from the 1980's.. Engelbert Humperdinck, Carly Simon, Willie Nelson and Amanda Lear. You can find all the covers on youtube

  • my brother had this play for the first dance at his wedding, he dedicated it to our family since my parents raised us up on old movies. i screamed cuz i was surprised when i heard this song i was like "I LOVE THIS SONG!! I KNOW THIS SONG!! HAHA!!" it was an awesome wedding too!

  • Ce n'est pas la chanson du film.

  • @o0Penel0pe0o troll.

  • @Ambrozija13 Désolé, je ne parle pas le langage geek. Par contre, toi, tu pourrais te payer une vie.

  • @o0Penel0pe0o I highly doubt anyone's ability to misinterpret simple statements, but your previous statement does make me wonder about your intelligence in general. In short - troll.

  • @o0Penel0pe0o The sad part is that you don't even see your stupidity xD I hope you had a pleasant night and that your brain works better today. I wish you the best in life and maybe one day you'll find enough sense to see the movie again before you post another idiocy.

  • @o0Penel0pe0o Oh dear, you should have typed what you meant in the first place and not just look like another idiot.

  • what's with everyone talking about obama..?

  • @safte4

Obama mentioned in an interview before he became president that 'The Goodfather' and 'Casablanca' are his favorite movies. He knew how to get the votes ;)

  • @safte4 apparently we are missing something

  • @safte4 Obama said this was his favorite song from a movie in a montage in the Academy Awards

  • @safte4 Casablanca had nazis->Obama is a nazi->therefore, talk about obama on a romace movie theme video

  • @redundantstudios

    Obama is a... what?

  • @Th3D0K a nazi

  • In the previous Oscar Awards, they had this best movie theme song portion, and they had several famous titles on the list, but in the end it was Obama who was speaking and said that THIS ONE'S THE BEST!!!! He really has taste!

  • In 1998 Warner Bros. Pictures use it as their fanfare in the movies

  • amazing music.......

  • okay so im 13..but my dad loves this song, and i didnt come to this video because of obana...i came here because this movie is amazing! so what if im "young" this song rocks!!

  • Obama likes this song? I gotta start watching the news more often!

  • yah obama brought me here..

  • will do some language math :-p in danish Gay=bøsse - bøsse = shotgun => gay = shotgun so i can say this in english this is a song from the time when men where men, and a gay was something you shoot with :-D

  • If Obama brought you here that's mean you have no culture !

  • Comment removed

  • westfalen blatt brought me here

  • Obama bring me here

  • I love Ya.

    Mikekaye71

  • Fuck lol Wayne, fuck drake fuck any new music on the raido. Take me to 1940....

  • Too bad artists nowadays lack the skill or comprehension to make beautiful music like this. What a shame...

  • @M1sT3rM4nJr your just listening to terrible artist. There's still good modern music

  • Qué pelicula tan perfecta y al a vez qué increible canción.

  • @CODELuger22 Believe me, I don't like mentioning him. But sometimes the unmentionable must be mentioned to fight... the eeeeevilllll.....

  • I'm 15 years old, and I absolutely adore this song. Unfortunately, I have the same issue as others have expressed here. My friends do look down at me for having a different musical taste, a combination of blues, jazz, classical, disco and soul. When they say it is 'uncool' I don't get it. I don't think having any musical taste is 'cool', it's natural. But if it was cool, would it not be more cool to dare say what you really like, instead of being mainstream?

  • What masterpiece ! with so beautiful song and special atmospher

  • As a French, I have t say there are two beautiful songs in this movie: "La Marseillaise" and "As time Goes By"

  • beautiful song, beautiful singer, beautiful times.

  • Does anyone knows a similar song?

  • I love this song. It's beautiful. What's that? I'm uncool? Fine. I don't care.

  • "I love You"

    On that you can rely

No matter what the future brings

    As time goes by

Moonlight and love songs - never out of date

ja govoril tebe eto mnogo raz

  • Thanks!

  • I'm five and I listen to jazz, gimme a medal ¬_¬

  • @Zanite I am impressed by your typing skills

  • i feel the fucking pain as a 13 year old. rather be a loser than to listen to autotunerz

  • Always puts a tear in my eye

  • I have never heard a better song.

  • casablanca is the best romantic-old movie........ it one of my first 3 movies

  • "It's still the same old story, a fight for love and glory" A great line. <3

  • The Warner Bros opening uses a part of this piece.

  • @djssdns Why are we kids listening to this?

  • @Deschist well actually someone like this.....

  • Hey I'm 13 too and I like this song so it just goes to show...

screw social norms. I think this piece is wonderful!

  • so I'm not the only 13 yr old who can honestly say I like this? thank god

  • J our love story would blow casa blanca right out of the water all we have ever done is kiss and our love has lasted more than 40 years ... cannot wait to marry you R

  • Bogart was kinda good looking when he was he younger

  • A kiss is still a kiss... 40 years ago it blew me away...then fast forward to today ...OMG...your kisses are exactly as they were before! I love you hunny!!

  • It is a great song of course. However, I thought they were talking about songs written for movies, and it predates CASABLANCA by about twelve years.

  • Obama has taste

  • @LerenDownloaden haha I saw this movie after he said it was his favorite movie

  • Being a huge fan of Frank Sinatra, I'm surprised I've never heard this. I own two of his albums. Don't know if this song is on there or not. I knew it was Sinatra as soon as I heard the voice, though. Sinatra's voice is pretty distinctive as is Bobby Marley's and Johnny Cash's. Sinatra is a legend-- no one will ever take his place.

  • R. It's still the same old story of love! J.

  • Gotta give it to Obama. This is THE classic movie song.

  • Mr. President brought me here!!! Thumbs up!!

  • I'm sure just about everyone looks up a song or a movie trailer by searching YouTube. I know I do. President Obama brought me here. He listed this as his favorite movie tune during The Oscars. This is my first time hearing this. Very nice, indeed. I'm gonna e-mail this to a couple of friends and family.

  • Thumbs up if Obama sent you here.

  • Obama sent me here through the oscars

  • @MrChillgoose Same here! ha ha coincidence!

  • @MrChillgoose lmao me too

  • I may be 15 but this is an old song I can always listen to, lucky I sang it last year to. This is a great song

  • classico

  • keep that mood in my heart

  • I want to make a video with this song, featuring scenes from Casablanca, Gone With The Wind and Titanic. I hope it turns out half as well as these Casablanca tributes

  • The grestest love movie in the history have a great song as a company.

The No. 1 movie of all time.

  • The world will always welcome lovers ......as Time Goes By........hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day.

  • Going to see this movie tonight in Leesburg, Virginia. They are playing it especially for Valentine's Day. The world would be a better place if more movie houses did this.

  • Frank Sinatra, one of the greatest singers ever... I'm so greateful that I still can hear his voice

  • Of all the gin joints in all the world, she has to walk into mine...

  • Holy crap, I love Casablanca. Everyone should have the opportunity to see this. I'm 14 and I love it. It's sad that all the conquers the box office these days are those crappy "not-films". You can't beat the classics :-D

  • grace kelly or ingrid bergman?

  • @imgoinbowmont its Ingrid Bergman

  • We'll always have Paris.

  • black and white romance <33
