Minecraft - WoWProject - Stormwind City - Part 1 - Trade District

from what I've seen a lot of stormwind minecraft builds come close but end up severely lacking in other areas. it's rather vexing since especially in the trade district I know there is some room for interpretation but you couldn't even try to build the angled entrance to the auction house you just put it into another building entirely?

I just love the classic wow login music used. It brings back memories :'), gratz on what you've done so far, its just a shame that the game I loved to spend my time on for the past 6 nearly 7 years is just not what it used to be and doesn't have the same appeal it did even 12 months ago, let alone 6 years ago :(

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but doesn't the road behind the Auction House (leading towards the Cathedral district) slope upwards? In this rendition it's the same level as the rest of the terrain.

We debated over it and ultimatly decided not to add elevations in basic infrastructure. Mostly because minecraft does not have slopes. Meaning you either need to place stairs who don't exist (and go up to fast) or use higher elevated blocks but then you can't "walk" no more and actually need to "jump" to sort of climb your way up.

There are already changes in height where approperiated and we will continue to judge case/case if it works out for other regions.

Not bad. You should have definatley used a texture pack though. The vid would be more appealing.

Hey, tnx for the comment. However this is using a 64x64 texture pack. Trust me vanille Minecraft looks a lot ugglier :) (the default is 16x16 pixels).
