This is One of my favorite Hip Hop songs of all time. Just a classic track that never recieved the love it should have gotten. Mixtapes are a huge integral part of Hip Hop that most people take for granted and these days it's a lost art cause most DJs don't make good mixtapes anymore, there are a few out there still making the good ones like Silva Sirfa, DJ Emir, Green Lantern etc.. But most of the other DJs are garbage

Regarding Mix Tapes... Yusef Afloat was the skinny brother rapping at the end of the song. It's still unclear how he died, he was found on the side of the I 10 freeway around 3 am circa 01-02 i think. Jah Orah found him by chance (he saw a body on the road and stopped to see what he could do to help) called 911, police and ambulance arrived, they told him not to follow.
