  • what game?

  • the only thing i gotta say... and this is not a negative comment. but do not force your racing line. it looked like you would actually steer out to the exit to make it run the line. but its just a video game so dont take what these people are bad mouthing you about. have fun with racing no matter how you do it.

  • @paulwildridge Well, this is actually the racing line I used and when I checked it on helicopter view, I found very interesting the way the car creates arcs through the corners. So I thought I should make this video for complete novices to racing.

Thanks for your comment. I certainly don't mind about other people's bad ones :)

  • I'd be driving that fast if people were shooting at me too.

  • are you sure you got the best line at Tosa & Variante Alta?

Tosa is followed immediately by an uphill straight going up to 280-290kmph...

  • @ms0651 Well, the "absolutely best" line is something subjective I guess. For me, that is the best line for this particular car. Of course, I could be wrong...! ;)

  • Gtr2

  • what games this

  • I know what track it is! It´s Imola racing circuit in San Marino! Am I right?I have raced on this circuit so many times in video games that I can´t be wrong,I´m 99,9% sure it´s Imola!

  • Well actually no,I´m 100% sure...

  • It's Imola, indeed. It says so in the video description as well ;)

  • I didn´ t even look at the description,it´s just that this track has been coded in my brain long time ago from looking at F1 racing on TV and playing lots and lots of racing games with Imola track in them!So I could pretty much drive this track with my eyes closed...on video game only of course lol.Oh and btw nice drivin´dude!

  • LOL @ 0:21-0:22 - He desperately wanted to grab full kerb there, an therefore, lost the p-line :P But, anyway, nice drive, I hope you can do it repeatedly ;P

  • not for and awd. acelaration from all wheels actually force the car faster. look at rallying. on tarmac, they drift all corners. and i don't mean to drift like show drift. i mean fast drifts.

  • go to the track and have fun sliding around when everyone is passing you with the basic line.

Real racing isn't like video games.

    good luck with that.

  • You are 100% wrong.

  • how.

  • because that's slower, duh!

  • @tom10167 Wow...!! 100% wrong?? lol... :)

  • if u slide u loose second.. this is racing not drifting.

  • you riding to mutch over the curve stones

  • not much of a racing guy but aren't you supposed to clip those corners on S turns like that to go as straight as possible/pick up speed?

  • thats really very nice, which game is this?

  • It's GTR2, with NAP-mod physics. Read the video description for more details ;)

  • Brilliant :) I would call it perfect racing line too

  • Thank you :)

  • it's not perfect racing line. it is good racing line

  • OK, you could say there is no such thing as a "perfect" racing line. Maybe I should have used the word "recommended" instead ;)

  • dam nice driving!

  • Hey man, I've been driving the Ferrari 360 Modena at Imola in the Driving School, and I'm very frustrated with this car for it drives very unstable for me. On almost every corner I'm on the verge of spinning and can barely hold on.

  • I know exactly what you are talking about, but it is very easy to correct this. The car becomes unstable because you are downshifting quickly and the tires spin/lock and sends your rear out. You can easily fix this by using heal-toe to blip the throttle each time you downshift. Go read up on healtoe, but you pretty much tap the gas everytime you downshift, and you won't spin out.

  • imagine that your are driveing on ice when you brake fully your tires lockup and you slide but if you decelerate slowly your good :)

  • If you practice drifting, your grip racing will be a lot better. It teaches you a lot about weight shifting, tire management and under/over steer.

You might also want to practice heel and toe downshifting, to prevent spin outs.

  • @cilicon there is no weight shifting in drifting, its all about the slide, therefore in grip racing your cars weight shift will have already been dictated before the race starteddd.

  • Weight shifting is important in drifting. If you don't believe me, then watch this video.

And also, i suggest you check out "feint drifting". The entire technique is based on weight shifting.

  • And also, quoted from this other video: "Learning how to hold a car sideways, teaches you a lot about car control. Master it, and you'll learn how to fine tune your throttle control, feel for grip, and predict weight transfer".

  • I've spent a very long time tuning the setup. I noticed the car becoming quickly unstable downshifting into a corner. I have to downshift very slowly and very carefully at a low speed or else the car will most likely spin itself.

  • You have to blip the throttle to avoid spinning due to downshifts.

  • Additionally, I only have autoclutch turn on, no other assists. I'm also using the Logitech G25 with sequential shifter. Brakes [F]65:[R]35 90% Pressure | 16* Lock. Driving this car seems like trying to tame a 17-foot Great White Shark! Please Help!
