Well....I've had some who do and some who don't. I guess I should call it "playing" in the water. I usually put a little tub out there in the summer and some will go for a swim and some won't. It's never really deep enough to REALLY swim in, I don't want anyone drowning! If I ever take them to a lake, I'll let you know!
Question, does yours burp, 4 minutes after eating really loud? for some reason each time mine eats she belches super loud... Funny to watch, first time it happened my dad thought it was my brother, and saw a lil puppy run into her cage
Aww I love that little noise Norfolks make. Mine makes the same noises when he is really happy or wants to play. It is a funny breed trait... although whenever people are over they think he is growling at first hahah
hi again, i live in england we got our Norfolk terrier off of a friend of my dads, shes 3 years old now and makes cute noises all the time just like your two there both very sweet they look just like my dog when she was a puppy.
i have a Norfolk terrier and she does those weird noises as well, mostly in the morning when i get up she does a really over the top yawn its so cute!!!!
I know...Gideon does the same thing every morning! He is SO sweet and I love to hear him do the yawn! They are such a riot, aren't they? I'm in Illinois, where are you?
I haven't had any more difficulty housetraining Norfolks than I did with any other dog. Consistency is the key to any training process. I do believe in crate training as well. As you can see, I have a pee pad in here with these guys...I use that until they are about 3 months old and then we begin crate training. If I can't watch them for whatever reason, they go in the crate! It really makes life alot less stressful for them and for my floors! Kim
I have a norfolk called Teddy and he does that strange sound. Some people call it the Norfolk Speak. Ted doesnt growl either he makes a sorta deep purring sound which is also characteristic of the breed. They are the best most loving dog and will always have at least 1.
Yes, it took me about 6 years to get one....they also very hard to obtain. Breeders are very selective because they are worried that the breed will be ruined and therefore they put all sorts of restrictions on them and want only people who will keep them for a lifetime to have them. Therefore they are also very expensive! Thanks for the comment! Kim
SO CUTE
