I had a copy of this film from years ago and I loved Helen in it. At that time I had a wonderful girl just like Helen. She had a lovely face and a body to lust over. She looked so natural, not like those scrawny catwalk models with their hair pulled back that it makes their faces as scary as those of the guillotined heads at Madame Tussaud's.

I have an old copy of the Norman Lindsay novel, and the drawings of his "Cora" are not too different from Helen Mirren in the flesh.

Of course, Lindsay favored full-figured models, which you'd never guess from the modern-day near-anorectics of the film "Sirens".
