@fishgarnock I was inside one of the winmills at a tour just after the first windfarm on the Fairlie Moors opened. They had an open day. It was an eye opening experience. I suppose in the future we'll get used to them and not notice them, in much the same way we don't notice tv ariels, phone masts and satillite dishes. If it's good for the planet I'm all for it. I just wish they were invisible sometimes!
The wind farm will have no effect on the scenary since these are to be built with transparent polycarbonate and the ends of the blades are to have red night lights fitted to warn aircraft at night, it is expected to look beautiful on windy nights and may become a tourist attraction which will generate revenue to the local community. ;-)
Windfarms are new phenonimum,but i agree there ok much better looking than a power station.
