@tharealdeal19 The android/Cell saga was ok, but the time story made NO sense and was in the pits. You could tell the series was running out of steam at this point cause Dr. Gero's existence wasn't even mentioned in the Red Ribbon saga of DB. Dr. Gero just shows up outta nowhere.

Buu saga was ok also until it got into all the ridiculous fusions and overplown powerups. Vegeta sacrificing himself in the Buu saga was great though.

@jkiley456 Well the series was designed to end with the death of Goku, the rise of Gohan and the end of the Cell Games but the majority of the fans in Japan disliked the ending because they didn't want the series to end with the death of the main character, which to me seems like a perfect ending.

Trunks was a good character and all, but the time traveling idea seemed like a Terminator knockoff, and when the hell was Dr. Gero ever mentioned in DB in the Red Ribbon saga? His Character was just a plot device to keep the story going.

@Maloperverso When Vegeta came out of the chamber I think him and Trunks were about equal, and Goku and Gohan were so much stronger than Vegeta because they used a different training method. Being transformed takes a lot of energy to sustain so Goku and Gohan learned how to make being SSJ natural for them, which in turn allowed them to use all the energy it takes to transform and sustain that transformation when they fought.

The best thing about this season of DBZ was that the main z fighters took turns being the strongest. First Goku is when he returns, then Vegeta at this point, then Piccolo after he fuses, then 16 when he joins the good guys, then Trunks after time chamber training, then Gohan in the cell games.

Super Saiyan 3 Goku wasn't that much stronger than Fat Buu but could hold his own against Kig Buu!? In GT power levels made absolutely no sense and no one seemed stronger than any of the others!

This is *still* my favorite fight from the entire series. Not because of the physical action - that's good, but just the sheer ballsy attitude from Vegeta. Within this fight he does take a fair bit of damage, but he just shrugs it off and shows that toaster oven just who he's dealing with. Considering that Goku was the Deus Ex Machina for *every* villain? This is satisfying to see Vegeta and later Piccolo against 20 get some deserved respect.

During Goku's training he never experienced near death whereas Vegeta did on a few occasions so his saiyan ability made him stronger after those near death experiences. I see what your sayin bout Goku training his SSJ for longer, but I think Vegeta trained his base form so much that when he achieved SSJ his power say tripled instead of doubled
