@bhouse1545 It's not suppressed , it has one of Noveskes' kx3 flash hiders. Very nice design that conceals the flash and directs the blast forward and away from the operator. I use a YHM brake and the Kx3 is noticeably quieter ,but mostly to the shooter.

I don't see the benefit of 7.5 over 10.5 or 12. 7.5 is for vip protection right? You can't shoot a 7.5 in a suv, the muzzle flash is a bitch, you will need a can, and a can which can take 7.5" abuse (AAC m4-2000), by which time youve got a long ass rifle again. 77 grain 556 is too light for vip protection, IMO in this limited useage you'd need a heavier bullet something along the lines of 6.8 or 7.62AK for barrier/glass shooting.

@SumerianScientist1 I'm not sure what this is in relation to. If it is regarding the KAC; the SR15 is not a true AR15 because it uses a proprietary bolt and bbl extension. I have a very good idea about what I am talking about thank you, having had experience with the AR class for over 12 years.

7.5'' AR is more or as compact as an MP5, weighs similar to an MP5 (give or take) with better ballistics than the said submachine gun. A stock (w/o anything on) AK in 7.62 is bulky and significantly heavier, more so than the rifle currently being viewed.

SR15 IS an AR15 and classed as AR15 because it IS and AR15 doesn't matter what you think

@adobo777 Have you shot a 7.5" AR? On paper yes, it is more effective than a pistol-cal carbine/subgun.

The resulting reduction in MV means ammo selection is critical, you are basically limited to 77g which can be difficult to procure. The muzzle flash and concussion are INSANE. You could not fire an unsuppressed 7.5" inside a car and maintain situational awareness. They are very sensitive to abuse.

7.5/5.56 = toy. If you don't believe me why don't you ask Todd yourself?

@jebustheone The comparison was with an AK which has far worst concussion, (even the AK-74 SU style) with its compensator/break along with its ergonomics makes it impossible to even try and use in a car and can be very unwieldy in a CQB situation. 77 grain isn't too hard to get, expensive it is, but is fairly common (I buy and reload them in bulk Privi Partizan makes cheap good ones you can reload). Sensitive to abuse.. jesus.

ar-15 is civvy semi auto versions of m16s and M4

To answer your question kramerican, they make whole guns, along with barrels for SAW's and accessories for SAW's and the ar15/m16/m4 platform. They're an excellent company, too. They have cold hammer forged barrels which are damn near indestructable.

SO many rude people.  Noveske makes complete uppers, barrels, complete rifles, and stripped lowers. They are top of the line and better than Colt IMO. They make an N4 Carbine and Recce (mid-length) that are 99.9% true mil spec. The 0.1% is because their bolts don't have a black insert for the extractor as Colt's do, but they do have a Crane O-ring. Also, their barrels are double chrome lined and made with M249 SAW steel (CMV), which is better than the regular 4150 found in Colts.

Good to know. I'm planning on getting an ar-15 type rifle, so Noveske is a real consideration now. I've heard it can be cheaper to build it yourself, according to you're needs. I'll have to check the prices, but I'm sure you get what you pay for. Thanks again for the input.

Just buy a noveske upper and finder a cheaper lower reciever. These are pretty expensive barrels but you get what you pay for. Another consideration is Lewis and Machine Tool barrels. I love my LMT!

Yea, I've been doing some research and I was actually considering LMT. So far this is my parts list.

LMT Upper w/ Full auto standard bolt assembly

Daniel Defense or Larue carbine handgaurds

I'm already over budget, so let me know if you have any suggestions for a good lower for cheap, or handgaurds for cheaper. Thanks

get a cheaper stock at a gun show or something. I dont think you need a full auto bolt, there really is no need. Civi bolts are still excellent too.
