No they're not, maybe for supercross and what not, but for freestyle you want a light bike, and between 2 strokes and 4 strokes theres like a 15 pound difference

But to be fair the 450's nowadays are the only bikes still in progress getting lighter and faster everyday while 2strokes except for KTM are almost stopped progress. So they make a switch and apparently it takes quiete a while to get used to but if you look at twitch, he rides them all so smooth :D its sick

They do help with extra support but there really to protect your chest front rocks, dirt and what not, thats why you really only see them on racers. I ride quads, so its not that bad but if I am riding with someone on a dirt bike I wear mine, they throw some sick roast

Twitch and Nate Adams have been my favorite since i can remember. I have alot of respect for Pastrana, but it seems as if twitch and nate keep it more real. I think all fmx riders should be more humble and have close personalities to those of nate and twitch. Seems like most of them are doing it for the publicity and money, rather than to keep the sport and movement alive.
