  • I reach out to the truth only to be told, THE CAKE IS A LIE!

  • I want to read the comments . . . BUT THE ANIME ISN'T FINISHED AND I DONT HAVE THE GAME!!!! *Screams and facedesks*

  • Man when I first faced this boss I stood there for like 1 minute just thinking...where do I start?

  • When I battled this boss,Reach out to the truth played on when my party sacrificed themselves to save me.That's perfect timing.

  • NANAKO CHANNNN

  • I loved this track. During the final boss I started to notice when the 'Reach out to the Truth' bit started to play near the end, and it really pumped me up! Screw that stupid final boss! She can't beat me!

  • I curse myself for keeping the volume down during final battle. I don't even know there is a MEGA EPIC MUSIC going on.

  • Atlus sure knows how to make a truly epic Final Boss Battle. Persona 3 and 4 both had amazing Final Bosses with great music.

  • epic

  • I hope this song appears in the anime...

  • @neoshenlong It has to

  • Comment removed

  • Anime's out! Get it while it's hot!

  • While i do agree all SMT music is amazing, I think the Persona series is kinda overated compared to the lesser known SMT games like Digital Devil saga (my personal fav SMT series.) Listen to Divine Entity from DDS 2. It is my favorite pieceof music.

  • Best final boss music, and i am a a big fan of persona but i must play persona 3 fes mabey i should play the other SMT games, but persona 4 was my first SMT i played, it is still good to play now this day, but hadn't play the other SMT games

  • really like the game and oso this song. Got goosebumps every time i hear this song ^^

  • Most people are commenting on Reach Out To The Truth, and I understand why, but it makes me sad that so few people really recognize I'll Face Myself.

When that song started playing, I really was moved to tears. Of course, everyone knows the most tragic use of I'll Face Myself in the game, and I'd had only four things spoiled in Persona 4. Morooka dies, Naoto's a girl, Nanako gets thrown into the TV, and Adachi's the killer. On 12/02, I swore the killer would pay; "I'll Face Myself."

  • @a92lovin You spoil Nanako for me =/

  • @2002virus This is the music for the final battle; so much here is a spoiler. Though I apologize. The game will still be fantastic, don't worry.

  • @a92lovin Meh. The music is still awesome. <3

  • ah ! this picture is my main team !

  • @mau4971 Almost for everyone D; .. cant wait for PSVita port.

  • When it started to play the main battle theme, I felt such a surge of power, feeling like "I have to beat this boss and end everything!" while at the same time choking back sobs for the characters and everyone because the game made everything seem all so real and heart-warming.

    And then I lost :(

  • One Winged Angel Slo-Mo VER.

  • I always watch this when I need a pick-me-up!

    Sniff...persona 4 was such a good game...

  • Comment removed

  • I just finished the game yesterday, the music is amazing!

  • 6:45

    'Nuff said.

  • 10 people lose for Izanami before 6:47

  • 6:47 played when everybody was at 200 health, Yukiko and i both used healing spells but we were both out of mana, then i looked in my inventory and realized I had a Soma... "Fully restore party HP and SP"

    Me: :D

  • @ArmoredAK don't you love it when that happens?

  • @JonoRei well i did scream FUUUUUUUUCK YEAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • Sheesh.

The Song perfectly fits the situation the Group were in.

I mean they were facing noone else than THE Izanami.

Makes me wonder what went through their Heads to face one of the most prominent Characters in Japanese Mythology.

  • Gotta say at first I thought this song just didn't fit with the boss battle. But after replaying the battle it fits perfectly.

  • The drums are the best part of the whole soundtrack.

  • ok let's battle izanami ! 5 minutes later Ok let's battle izanami-no-okami ! 10 minutes later Wtf my friends are all dead and I am the last one ! 30 seconds later ouch! I'm dead ? * begining commentary soo boring time * YEAH ! new persona izanagi-no-okami ! Hey izanami-no-okami take this ! WTF I NO HAVE SAVED ? NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! * Fatality *
  • Had I not read about the true ending before hand I would of never gotten to experience the games true ending. My first playthrough was awesome <3

  • fucking love this game i wish my 60gig ps3 didnt break so i could finish my new game + oh well... :(

  • 6:47 made misato look down with approving eyes.

  • The Nyx Avatar sure is...

  • Izanami wasn't that threatening of a god, if you think about it. Hell, Belzebub, Beldr, and Belial were a little more threatening. Lucifer was the most threatening in all SMT games to me.

  • What song is it when your in Yukiko's castle and your trying to find your way around?

  • @dbradburn369 It's called Castle :)

  • Huzzah. Man has triumphed over a god.

But that god was WEAK AS FUCK.

I pawned her with one hit (at the end, when everyone sacrifices themselves for me. And fuck, I was surprised when Naoto booted me, because I didn't even have her at a rank-2).

Indeed, I thought I was going to die.

So I almost cut off the game.

But then I noticed her sacrifice herself for me.

Plus, I decided that their sacrifices shall not be in vain.

SO I WENT SUPER SAIYAN AND KICKED HER ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Indeeeeeeeeeeeed.

  • @PedoPedo666 So, is Nyx more satisfying?

  • Time for the grand finale.

  • no fans, but i think Izanami is jsut on her Periods xD i mean, how else can she be Pissed off? Exept for the fact that she's left behind by her man...

  • but will the truth they discover really set them free from themselves. I need a truth that is alive and loves me. I need a daddy who is faithful no matter what. I need Jesus, the Savior of the world to anyone who beloeves. He is the Light.

  • When I first got to this boss battle, I kind of teared up at 6:46. It reminds you why these characters are doing and what they mean to you in their final moment of glory.

  • anyone who says one man can't stand up to a god has never met Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune

  • I get chills at the end of the song.

  • I had a Soma, and 2 Golden Scarabs when I fought this boss.....it's freakin' depressing to think that I would have literally NOT have been able to beat her without them (Got lucky as hell there) because I was only around lvl 75 (Normal Mode).

  • The ending sounded kinda like..Super Smash Brothers o.o

  • naaa izanami-no-okami is of my favorites characters after izanagi-no-okami

  • 6:40

    Can´t stop singing:

"Now I face out I hold out

I reach out to the truth of my life

Seeking to seize on the whole moment to now break away

Oh God let met out Can you let me out

Can you set me free from this dark inner world

Save me now Last beat in the soul"

  • As synthetic as the drum tracks are in the latest Persona games, I'm surprised at the quality of the programming done on them, and how well the tones came out. Some of the drum tracks are amazing in my opinion.

  • 8 people who disliked this are/were:

    Owned by Izanami-no-Okami or,

    Got Myriad Truth'd.

  • Great song, i like persona 3's final boss fight music more tho "Battle Hymn of the Soul" :D

  • From what I hear, this sounds like a truly epic last boss; and it also sounds kinda like the reach out for the truth at times. It's awesome.

  • I think this is one of the best boss themes I have ever heard. Other games the theme just made me feel like this was a normal boss. but this. at the end I felt like I had to do it. I felt like Izanami caused all the bad things in the game? and denied (how bad what she caused was) what she did. no she no get away with that! i am persona mc! i kill you >:D

  • The Part at 6:47 Always Hit the climax of battle UNLESS you did went away for a while.

It always when I'm like Very low on SP... HP... and then BOOM! that part comes in, and i get to kick her sorry ass!

  • where can i find a walkthrough to get the perfect ending

  • man i fought her on expert and i died like 15 times before i finally finished her

  • This and the final boss theme for P3 are tied for the best final boss music I've ever heard. Also, I pwned Izanami quite well (having a Kohryu with Agidyne, Bufudyne, Ziodyne, Garudyne, Mediarahan, Samrecarm, and immunities to both types of instant death makes you a bit godly, as does a high level party containing Yosuke, Yukiko, and Teddie).

  • when u first hear this your like

"....oh crap. Im going to fail..."

your health starts falling and so does ur sp, your about to hit the reset button when..

it plays reach out to the truth, tellinng you not to give up

great idea for final boss music (^-^)-b

  • @MagatsutheCalamity you just played suck, thats all ya know who to blame and thats not the game hehahahaha

  • @darkskyBAO you just PLAIN suck at spelling. xD

  • Only song I wanted to listen to after beating the game and it's not even on my Side A CD, I'm going to have to go out of my way to actually buy the Side B CD.

  • This song fill every moment the this battle, the final battle against izanami, but when the song is near to end it becomes more great;).

  • very climactic music.... as expected of the persona series, they know how to blend battle and bg music to make one kick ass fight

  • This is Castlevania! (The song is like one in SOTN) OMG I Love the two series! +.+

  • This song pretty much made the True Ending for me, fighting Izanami while have this song reach the climatic "Reach Out to the Truth" segment gives you a really strong sense of what is happeningin this fight. I love it when video game music makes you actively feel a certain way for a fight.

Izanami no Okami was also the most fun fight I had in Persona 4, even with all my items I was always on my toes.

  • despair > agony > struggle > light > glimpse of hope > courage > determination > resolution > execution > achievement

    great progression

  • Oh and 6: 47:

IMO one of the most Epic moments in Gaming History.

That turn to Reach out the the Truth was perfect.

  • @Marcell2881991 No other video game I know has 6:47 of build until they reach a moment that send goosebumps down everyone's spines

  • actually for me, i didn't really think i could win this battle and thought it seemed impossible, but when "reach out to the truth" started playing i was reminded of all i went through in the game...and i was ready to beat her down :D

  • Come on dude! You can do it! ;)

It`s not hard at all, believe me u_u and it worth the efforts :)

I like this song but i prefer the previous song of this final battle ;) It`s the Ps2 ultimate song game ever :P

  • 4 guardian fishes saved the day for me xD

  • The ending part at 6:10 is absolutely fucking amazing.

Nothing can compare to that awesome build up.

  • I haven't even reached the final boss yet and this song sends chills down my spine. I can't wait to hear this in-game. Probably one of the best endgame fight songs I've ever heard.

  • this wasnt in the cd that comes with the game was it?

  • the cd that came with the game was HALF the soundtrack.

  • @IdeonFukkatsu yeah =\ it's a real shame

  • wish that OST had Backside of the TV. One of my fav p4 songs besides the 3 End-Game themes (Final Mid-Boss, Final Boss, and "True Ending" aka Extra-Boss)

  • I was moved to tears when when Reach Out to the Truth played

  • i never even played this awesome game. I only heard and seen it from my friend who loves this game. It seets like this game is Tough (as in GOOD!!) But just like Final Fantasy 7 this is one game I need to play

  • Epic+Awsemoe= The Genesis

    5*

  • This theme is so fucking well compose it made me want to cry. It's so amazing.

  • This song really shines when you hear it... while actually fighting the final boss. It starts out serious, steel-like, and devoid, almost feeling like the reason for fighting is hopeless. Then, at the 5:14 mark, the song becomes noticeably more hopeful, imploring you to "fight on!'. Then finally at 6:47 it hits the climax, playing "Reach out to the Truth", telling you to not give up, to blow away all the lies and deceit, and to end it all by uncovering the truth with your own hands!

  • Don't believe in the you that believes in me. Don't believe in the me that believes in you. Believe in the you that believes in yourself! Isn't your drill the one that will pierce the heavens?

  • Nice reference!

  • @Razor7343

Ah, a Gurren Laggan reference, Classy...

  • @Razor7343

A fellow Gurren Laggan fan. XD

  • @AngryOctopus4 Gurren Lagann is amazing!!

  • @MrNickjrich

Damn straight! It makes less sense than a fever dream but more than Fooly Cooly. If that isn't awesome I don't know what is.

  • @AngryOctopus4 Amen

  • dam xD you have a thing for words

  • @LighthawkKnight I know, funniest thing about it was that when hte song started being hopeful, it got to the point that I got the boss' health down enough to think that I was going to win. Realy wierd timing in my opinion lol

  • @LighthawkKnight .....and then it repeats itself instead of playing based on the context of the fight. Kinda ruined it for me.

Though it was great hearing the fanfare rise to the hopeful triumphant part when Chie died.

  • @aydr thank you, you just wasted the whole game for me.

  • @sean1997102 Um, I just mean in battle... I'm not talking about storyline anything. By died I mean "knocked out" rather than like actual plot death.

  • @aydr whooooooooooooooooooooops *insert color inverted awesome smiley*

  • @sean1997102

If you didn't finish the game yet, why are you searching youtube videos blindly, not knowing what you are going to see?

  • @GmanNova @GmanNova meh, was listening to I'll Face Myself(epic) and checked out a few Related Videos.

  • @LighthawkKnight I know exactly what you mean, I beat her when the Reach out to the Truth theme kicked in, so it was a pretty epic feel to beating the battle.

  • @LighthawkKnight

Then it loops and you get one hit killed by World's End > Summons to Yomi.

  • @XHolyPuffX

    Or Thousand Curses.

  • @AirbornDragonKite

That's the one with the hands right? That's a necessary part of the battle lol I'm talking about actually losing. It's like..the music gets all cool and hopeful, yeeeah we're gonna win, then it goes back to the beginning of the song and bam you get one hit killed by something stupid.

  • @LighthawkKnight Best way to put it.that right there what you said is a perfect exclamation

  • 5:21 is the Best!

  • very cool

  • Izanami backwards?

    Imanazi

    I'm a nazi!

  • FFFFFFFF I HAD NO IDEA

can't believe i never noticed that XD

  • OH SHI-

  • LOL!!!

  • @WiiFanboy12 -_- Oh, shut up. jk XD

  • @WiiFanboy12

    lol

  • @WiiFanboy12 Interesting coincidence. Nice find.

  • @WiiFanboy12 MIND = BLOWN

  • @WiiFanboy12 lol man Izanami was a goddes in the legend on Asia xd

  • @temarishi

    *buzzer*

Izanami was the wife Izanagi and the two were the shinto gods of creation. After she died giving birth to Hi-no-Kagatsuchi, who basically burned her alive, she died and went to Yomi, the underworld. Izanagi in his grief went on a journey to reclaim his wife from death, but since she already had eaten the food of Yomi she could no longer be revived, but told him to wait for her while she strikes a bargain with the rule of Yomi

  • @temarishi

Izanami told him that he needed to wait for her for 3 days and to not look into the depths of Yomi and see what she was doing. Surprise suprise Izanagi got impatient and curious and peaked inside and saw the rotting flesh of his wife's face. Totally disgusted Izanagi ran away and Izanami was pissed and chased after him with her demonic hags.

  • @temarishi

Izanagi sealed the gates of yomi with a giant boulder. Izanami declared that she would kill 1000 people of the living everyday and Izanagi replied that he would give birth to 1500 everyday. Keep in mind that this is the mythology of JAPAN. Every other Asian culture has a different set of folklore

And to be honest there are a lot more interesting creation myths out there in other religions, like for instance Hindu.

  • @Shinokyouku well everyone with his tastes xd

  • 5:47 gave me mad goose-bumps.

This was way more impressive in game though.

  • In game this song is even more impressive. There are spaces in music not included here. They do very "gothic" climate. True horror. I agree, tis music is the best from whole game.

  • This music is indeed proper for a god,aka izanami

  • This reminds me of Rome: Total War battle music.

  • 5:47 is a part that just wants u to keep going on.

    it's kinda hard to say

  • hum i never played p4 is the storyline better than 3? cause would take a lot of effort from atlus xD

  • No, actually 4 is just milking (in all honesty).

It's very great, definately a top rated, but not as good, no.

  • LIES!!

  • I would agree on that completely.. if it wasn't for the small detail called AI CONTROLLED ALLIES.

The story and some characters are better in 3 but getting killed cause Mitsuru thought it was a smart idea to use Charm instead of heal is just... YASD!

    D:

  • I never got killed because of my allies' stupidity in P3. Admittedly I only played through it on normal.

  • Nah persona 4 is better in my perspective

  • Persona 4 is a game? I thought it was a JRPG! *Shot*

  • JRPG= Japanese Role Playing Game Idiot

  • Yea sorta xD

  • @maorack

Joke. Joke. Joke. Also, Devil May Cry/3, Ratchet & Clank, Soul Calibur 3... I've made my point. Plenty of non-JRPG games.

  • I actually prefer P3's story a lot to P4's quite a bit, though I think the combat overhaul in P4 is -amazing-, and I like the voice clips added for the Social Links. The P4 links all felt a bit bland, though

  • Truths.

  • I like persona 4 better, because the story is more interesting in my opinion. Persona 3's just got one thing really, but persona 4's got the whole mystery of who the killer is which is iinteresting to play along. p3 has a better ending.

  • much beter and i you put enuf efort into it a much haper ending

  • I agree with Gohonyari its the best part of the song!!!

  • 6:46 and onward was the best part.

  • you kno that youve accomplished the game when have the battle theme in the final boss theme

  • amazing fight when I went in I thought huh let's do this then she went true form on me and that music played, I thought Oh s**t, then the end part played and I just thought, "I can't give up."

another fitting masterpiece for the final boss by Shoji Meguro

  • Oh I just love this song.

It fitted so perfectly with the boss battle even though this stupid battle kinda pissed me off at the end. I seriously thought I lost the game when she performed A Thousand Curses. I yelled at the screen until I noticed that, that was suppose to happen. Lol.

  • My game bugged out. Teddie used a Skill to revive Yukiko and she came back...as a GHOST! :O

She fell back in though, even though she was totally invisible.

  • lol and not only that but the length of the final boss battles for this and Persona 3 were way too long and if you thought you lost at the end lol I would also be pissed

  • I think the final boss should be both long and difficult and Izanami was a pretty decent final boss. Her second form where this music plays was pretty brutal depending on the difficulty setting, and the theme fits a final desperate combat against a god.

  • @animefan0000

I like the very long final battles (depending on difficulty setting and team strength naturally) for precisely the same reason. The fear of losing after playing for ages makes it more tense.

  • @animefan0000

I like the very long final battles (depending on difficulty setting and team strength naturally) for precisely the same reason. The fear of losing after playing for ages makes it more tense, especially with this music.

  • @adipiscor The tension does kill you in the last decisive moments xD I get really nervous for a cheap critical or something :P

  • @animefan0000

Oh man... the last boss in Persona 3 was the worst. And exactly that happened to me. I got him to his last form. He was deflecting physical attack, and I accidently hit the "Rush" button... died after over an hour of fighting.

  • @devilskiss9999

this endgame boss theme doesn't hold a candle to the P3 final boss theme "Battle for everyone souls"

  • @Iwannaplayssbb Hmmmm....I suppose that's somewhat true but this song will always have a special place in my heart since P4 was my first persona game.

  • One of my favorite tracks from the ost

    5:22 - 5:41

aweseome version of "I'll Face Myself " (wish the part was longer)

    6:46 - 7:48

just as epic the battle theme!!

  • Not as good as Battle For Everyones souls (that was a bit more appropriate for the game). But this is still cool.

  • Aaaaaaw, yeah ^_^ I remember when I first heard this during the battle and 6:46 came in..... I went from "Oh my god this is a fucking hopeless battle," to "I'M GONNA WIN THIS! I'M GONNA WIN GOD DAMN IT!" XD

Then near the end she used the insta-kill and my whole party died..... :(

  • I always jump at the big THUD

  • i got panicky at the ending...i thought the main chara was going to die lol

  • 6:50 and on got me so pumped up when I was fighting this boss! XD

  • I know, right!? It's like the tiny bit of hope they shove at you to keep you fighting!

  • I love it when it goes all silent then Reach out to truth comes that's the best part I think

  • god listening to the song here makes me want to fight the final boss all over again....
