Honestly, I shed a tear when I heard the verse about the baby that no one else is holding tight. I just had a daughter, and I can't imagine her never being held with love and compassion. Which is why my wife and I want to adopt down the road, there's so many kids here in the states that could use a loving home.
I think we all have questions like these about things that may just not add up to us, but I believe that there is an overall reason to everything. If we didn't have suffering, we wouldn't know what salvation is. You can't have any sunny days if you don't know what a rainy day is. I know to some people it's tough to make that leap of faith, but I recently did. My conversion to Christianity from Atheism is one of the best decisions I've ever made.

@shelton705 it's cause this is a sinful world we live in. Sin is what causes all this bad stuff in the world. God doesn't make bad things happen to people we brought them on ourselves in the beginning when Adam and Eve did the 1st sin. I'm not trying to rip on you I'm just trying to be helpful but isn't everything in this world 50/50? We can't depend on anything to always go our way because nothing is perfect but God does always answer prayers He just may not be giving us the answer we want.
I'm sure I'll get ripped to shreds for saying this, but Clay's "questions" are why I don't put my faith in God. Even if he does exist, I could never bring myself to worship any being that has allowed all of the cruelty, misery, and injustice to thrive on earth. Prayer seems meaningless too. You have a 50/50 shot of having it answered, and no matter the outcome, it is always chocked up to God's will. Well if God's will is for somebody to suffer and die, that seems pretty sadistic to me.

Well, because Cancer is an extremely complex disease, because cells and the human body are extremely difficult to both study and understand, and you cannot test on humans like you can test on machines. survived leukemia and it was only because of the great hospital St. Jude's but unfortunately and friend of mine and others just passed on 05/02/2011 she was only 17. Even with a great place like St. Jude's her cancer was just too strong. She fought a long and hard battle, and with losing her fiance not even a year earlier to cancer, it makes me wonder why so young, why do they not have the chance to live and have a family of their own, but God always has a plan for everyone.

Amen, you don't have to believe in God, but there is something of great power watching over us, and this song speaks to me. Why we have kids going to families that wanna abuse them when there are families that can't have kids that would be awesome parents and loving families. Why do our kids die so young, and of so terrible diseases, some starve when we on earth have a abundance of food. If you question something, that's a good first step, then lets work together as what we family.

My 17 year old best friend Kollin who is like my little brother, was told 10 days ago that he had 1-2 weeks to live. He is losing the battle with leukemia that he has been fighting since April 2008. My big brother Tim told me about this song and I decided to check it out. I balled like a baby, it's good to cry sometimes, but I know it was nothing like it will be when he drifts off into heaven. My grandma died about 2 yrs ago and the one thought that got me through is this: she has gone to a better place where peace and happiness replaced her sorrow and hurt. @williamwillett22 i dont know at all but i know the pain of loseing one whos always been there when i lost my great grandma who pretty much helped raise me till i was almost 16 or so and im 21 now and i couldnt help but cry like a little baby when i heard this song and thought only of her and dude the only thing that helps me feel better is thinking she is in a much better place now cuz her last 9yrs of life was spent hooked up to everything you could think of to keep her alive and she hurt alot

If everything were perfect all the time, nothing would. It's not possible to have a perfect world. Life isn't supposed to be easy. Without suffering there would be no compassion. Sometimes people are so caught up in pointing out all the bad things that exist in the world that they forget to notice all the good.

i lost a friend in a car wreck last saturday. he is adsolutely irreplaceable. i just dont see why he had to go..he was only 20 and had the nicest family, was in love, and had a wonderful life ahead of him. but now hes gone. i will never get to go to his wedding or meet his kids or see his amazing smile again..he had a smile that was contagious, and he was always smiling. no matter what, he was always so positive. always put other people before himself. i miss him so much. It seems so many people overlook the fact this song applies to the tragic events like losing loved ones and suffering and pain, but also to everyday life. God WILL take care of you, if you just seek him earnestly. You only see your part of the puzzle, just a single piece. Often times we forget that God is the one putting all the other pieces in place, and sometimes your pain and suffering is needed to create an overall good, for the whole picture. God will help you through. He promises us that.

Well, because Cancer is an extremely complex disease, because cells and the human body are extremely difficult to both study and understand, and you cannot test on humans like you can test on machines. survived leukemia and it was only because of the great hospital St. Jude's but unfortunately and friend of mine and others just passed on 05/02/2011 she was only 17. Even with a great place like St. Jude's her cancer was just too strong. She fought a long and hard battle, and with losing her fiance not even a year earlier to cancer, it makes me wonder why so young, why do they not have the chance to live and have a family of their own, but God always has a plan for everyone.

April 17, 2010 was the day my life changed forever. I lost my cousin, best friend and practically my brother. He was killed in a car accident the day after his 17th bday. I found this song one day and balled my eyes out. The second verse is so perfect. I may not see God's plan right now and may not see it until I join my cousin in heaven, but I know he had a plan when he took such a great young man. He touched the hearts of many. Amen, you don't have to believe in God, but there is something of great power watching over us, and this song speaks to me. Why we have kids going to families that wanna abuse them when there are families that can't have kids that would be awesome parents and loving families. Why do our kids die so young, and of so terrible diseases, some starve when we on earth have a abundance of food. If you question something, that's a good first step, then lets work together as what we family.

My 17 year old best friend Kollin who is like my little brother, was told 10 days ago that he had 1-2 weeks to live. He is losing the battle with leukemia that he has been fighting since April 2008. My big brother Tim told me about this song and I decided to check it out. I balled like a baby, it's good to cry sometimes, but I know it was nothing like it will be when he drifts off into heaven. My grandma died about 2 yrs ago and the one thought that got me through is this: she has gone to a better place where peace and happiness replaced her sorrow and hurt. If everything were perfect all the time, nothing would. It's not possible to have a perfect world. Life isn't supposed to be easy. Without suffering there would be no compassion. Sometimes people are so caught up in pointing out all the bad things that exist in the world that they forget to notice all the good.

i lost a friend in a car wreck last saturday. he is adsolutely irreplaceable. i just dont see why he had to go..he was only 20 and had the nicest family, was in love, and had a wonderful life ahead of him. but now hes gone. i will never get to go to his wedding or meet his kids or see his amazing smile again..he had a smile that was contagious, and he was always smiling. no matter what, he was always so positive. always put other people before himself. i miss him so much. When we gave into the sins and ways of evil is when we as people gave up the right to complain about the things we brought on ourselves, God heals he doesn't create pain he heals. it might not seem like it but one day when you see in paradise you'll see his plan. Then who kill the innocent babies, who never harmed anyone? Why are they punished? Some children are born sick, and after while, they die. That's not fair, no matter how you put it.

I really love this song but cant listen to it with out crying. It just gets me thinking, Why did my best friends dad beat him almost every day? Why did my sister does younger sister want to die? Why did my dad have to get sick when I was 14? and why like that??
Why cant we stop hating and fighting? We could if we really wanted to, why do we hurt each other at all??
We know how to stop, we just dont...why?

this song i really love cause one is a woman that cant have kids an then get the ones that does takes an kill them by abortion or just throwing them some where ..... but all i have to say is that is the most sickest thing a woman can do is aborion .. i,m 31 yrs old an cant have kids an i dont understand why god want give me one so iacn relate to that song
