  • 2:08 awkward high five...

  • That's a long take, guys, not a montage.

  • just briliant movie, that's all I gotta say about that

  • thumbs up if you saw seth rogen

  • 2:07 "You ruined my long take!" - Richard Kelly

  • Love Donnie Darko. It's up there with Goonies and Boondock Saints.

  • @TexasRho83 what?! those are crappy, cheese movies! DD is up there alone

  • There is something so incredibly unearth like about this whole film, as though it's a dystopian society or something, almost like the black hole sun video by soundgarden

  • SPARKLE MOTION!

  • awesome

  • I LIKE WHEN THE LIL GIRL DANCING COMPLETELY MISSES THE HIGH-FIVE!

  • Donnie Darko favorite film.

  • Jamie Aspinwall, I love you with all my heart. Yes, I want to be your husband, I want to be a father to Mikey and Genny, and yes, you are the woman of my dreams... I just wish you would believe me. I wish I could show you in my heart just how valuable you are to me, more than any diamond, more than anything. I thank Jesus each and every day that, no matter what happens, He made you. Just the simple fact that He let me even be a part of your life is an AMAZING blessing. I hope you see that.

  • @tehkevxor1983

Y-yeah... I liked this video too...

  • @Subartimaeus Stage 2 of Axelay was totally my favorite. Best level in that game.

  • @tehkevxor1983

S-somebody here actually remembers Axelay? You're a figment of my imagination, aren't you?

  • @Subartimaeus ARMS INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE. GOOD LUCK.

  • funny this is supposed to be the 80s? & those guys snorting in the hallway. I was in high school back then & can remember kids in the back of class doing lines on the desks, something about coke & the 80s who knows, I didn't get it back then either.

  • @Anglynn74 Wouldn't they have got punished?

  • @jackheaney no because it was all the way in the back of the room aainst the wall & the teacher was up front in the middle of teaching. That specific class we had a Chinese woman teaching who knew very broken English (teaching a math class) & barely knew anything that was going on, it was the easiest class to do something like that in, other classes I'm not so sure they would have gotten away with it.

  • @Anglynn74 hahaha!!!

    we did glue!!!!

  • i'd love to see one of these go round my school XD

  • One of my favorite movies of all time,

  • For some reason, I like the way Gretchen walks @0:43

  • Thats my school :) every time I'm walking down the same hall ways from 0:15 to 1:01 the songs plays in my head

  • @UBAfilms That's Loyola High School, right? Do people there know which classroom was used for Ms. Pomeroy/Drew Barrymore's English class?

  • The John Hughes parts of this movie are way better than the David Lynch parts.

  • @remaftp i totally agree, i rewatch Donnie Darko for like certain parts

  • seth rogen with the assist 0:50

  • @herewego9945 haha ur comment is hilarious

  • I love drews face at 1:54 shes like wtf are these lil b*tches about to do

  • @Trixiechk405 Haha! Yeah, her "wtf?" face is one of my favorite things in that whole scene. And you don't really initially understand WHY she would make that face until the whole Jim Cunningham/Cunning Visions/Kitty Farmer/Sparkle Motion connection is revealed.

  • This scenes amazing because of two things...Tears for Fears and Patrick Swayze <3

  • I dont really know why but this is my favourite scene in the movie...

  • @DarlingBeTrue I know right? Same for me.

  • Really, i've seen this movie like ten times and i still don't understand it. I don't understand what it's all about or if the thing that i understand it's correct, that's one of the reason it's one of my favorites of all times together with Jacob's Ladder ( Tim Robbins)

  • favorite part of this movie hands down

  • Una de las mejores películas de Ciencia Ficción que he visto. Por alguna razón esta es una de las escenas que mas recuerdo.

  • Anytime I hear this song I think of this scene, one of the best movie scenes of all time. Great movie

  • @FlamingQueen666 Agree 100%, outstanding scene, best part of the movie for me, great song to boot

  • @fetor41 600 word ? they're really nice with you in your school ... Oo

  • if you watch the movie and then you watch just this scene, they show everyone who has a hand in getting donnie to bring down the jet from the plane. it's so awesome!

  • Amazing movie and scene.

  • A great scene from an awesome film. My favourite film!

  • I'll always remember Patrick Swayze as a pedophile because of this movie.

  • shuddup

  • Ha! The girl fails epically at giving a high five!

But the movie itself is Amazing!

  • Best. Montage. Ever.

  • Quite possibly the best movie ever!

  • One of the few times I've ever felt euphoria while watching a movie

  • @Ilovemetal777 what other movie made you feel it? i want more of that feeling

  • @frances0themute Watch American Beauty, Magnolia and Shawshank Redemption. Those are some damn powerful movies.

  • @Flyers9195 Donnie Darko, American Beauty, Magnolia and Shawshank Redemption. 4 of my all time favourite films. You can rewatch them so many times and they are so deep. I feel sorry for people who don't get the true meaning of them.

  • This scene is my Favoriteee! :)

  • man this movie was just so great every single part was just amazing I wish they made movies like this more often

  • My favorite scene from this movie and my favorite song insert. Also Seth Rogan totally just gave that guy cocaine XD

  • most perfect scene from a movie i've ever scene 50% because of the song

  • one of my favourite scenes

  • @LawrenceLugar1 Awesome font, but this comment sucks.

  • Setting aside the multiple meanings present within (I've only seen the movie twice, and I'm still sure I'm missing plenty), I would like to point out how much cooler this scene is than all those movies where the dorky kid introduces the new kid to all the social cliques in the school. THIS is what high school is like.

  • are my eyes playing tricks on me or does the back of that bus say morrissey rules?

  • Watch this movie with the director's commentary, I'll bet there's stuff you missed.

  • Favorite movie of all time. Prolly watched it a bajillion times.

  • if you listen to the lyrics, each segment tells part of the story/movie.. its amazing.. perfect

  • The Mongrel (School Mascot) + Jim Cunninghan = PedoBear

  • Love the song, love the sequence, effin LOVE Donnie Darko!!

  • my favorite scene in the movie.

i just love how it's edited, i love the song, and i love how it introduces the characters and captures their personalities in such a brief but effective way. :)

  • Pedo Bear = Jim Cunningham (Patrick Swayze) reincarnation?

  • My favorite scene of the movie. It's nice to see Seth Rogen here at 0:51, who knew he'd be a famous movie star later.

  • @Slavik07 haha... hes a drug dealer

  • I Love This Song!,.

  • @lovingmonkey212 isn't that part of the song so dreamy? omg lol

  • because directing is an art - in that sense, this is spot on - you get it or you don't - if you do, you know that this scene/shot is about as close to perfection as it gets :)

  • i love this movie and the song everywhere im like "head over heels"

  • Ah, I miss the good old days when they could actually make real movies like this. In my opinion the most beautiful and haunting movie ever made. I must have watched it 1000 times and it still takes my breath away.

  • "The good old days" this was made in 2001 :) but I tottally agree, this is an ALL TIME great movie.

  • Everything about the movie was perfect, and I wish I could erase my memory so I could watch it again and again.

  • Ha! I've thought that before too (the erasing my mind to watch a movie again thing).

  • even when I watch it and I know what's going to happen I'm still excited about it like something's going to change LOL

  • which version do you prefer, out of curiosity?

  • This is the second best scene in the film. the first is the movie theatre scene. although thats just my opinion

  • Once again, this post has allowed me to go to my kip in peace. Cheers. Every once in a while this bloody (excellent) scene pops into my head when I'm trying to get to sleep and I can NEVER remember the song.

I had every other Tears for Fears song running through my head but this one. I'm going back to bed now, goodnight!

  • i love this

  • Great Video, and a great song......we want more like this.

  • the movie Elephant which was inspired by columbine had a good one too.

    so did Rules of Attraction

  • In 1988 I started 1st grade. Great movie.

  • One of the best traveling I've ever saw in cinema, if you can observe, there are two traveling movements of the camera, this kind of move cost lots of money cuz of the price of the film needed for it.

  • alternating the speed of the film during the same shot is such a cool effect and awesome

  • Favorite scene of the movie. I love this song, and this sequence is just so cool.

  • Best movie scene ever to me; love the music/image combination. Just perfect...a masterpiece.

  • I am quite the opposite! You strike me as someone who is paralyzed by your fears!

  • If someone gives you a hard time, maybe you should try lifting some weights, and the next time he does it you can kick him in the balls...

  • whats the point of lifting weights if your just going to kick him in the balls lol

  • You'll be able to hold his arms to keep him from blocking, and your kick'll have more power behind it.

  • a freakin 9 year old could kick me in the balls and it would hurt allot anyway lol just sayin
