All the Power Ranger series are based on the Japanese shows that came before. Mystic Force is based on Magiranger, RPM is Boukenger, S.P.D. is Dekaranger, etc. All of the costumes and props are reused in the American versions of the show. The magic/wizard slant was always part of that particular series, Disney just re-branded it for America.

Nah here's what happened: The Sword of Light gave Rocky a copy of Jason's Power Coin; Rocky's was later destroyed, Jason's wasn't. The Zeo powers were never destroyed so Tommy's OK. During PriS, Justin got a spare morpher from Storm Blaster, so it can assumed that Lightning Cruiser did the same 4 TJ. That clear it up 4 ya?
