Great! I'm 39 and have been plying piano for just under a year- my instructor is crazy! He's having me do this one right now...needless to say, it's very slow and sounds nothing like this!
I love it when I find a classical piano piece, which is not played by a five-year-old Asian child, but from someone who likes to play piano and it is not forced to play.
I took a bit of piano lessons (2-3 months) when I was 7. I thought I liked the idea, but it was boring as hell doing the same stupid exercises all day long. At 28 I realized that some Mozart pieces that I loved were relatively simple so I took a bunch of free music sheets and dusted off my 17 year old Kawai keyboard. It wasn't smooth for the first few months, but it's been a ton of fun. I now average 4-5 h of practice per day and having a blast. Try doing that to a 7 year old kid.
The markings in my book are a bit different, or you're using a bit of syncopation? I've only got one Bach libretto with the second Praeludium in it, so I wouldn't know...
nice! yeah it sounds weird with pedal the chords changes to quiqk like to use it ,wasnt perfect but it was a good play..trying to play it myself , been practicing a week ,almost there
Not very musical at all. You can use the pedal but very sparingly but the dynamics on this are very repetitive and you should try to add some more contrast to each line.
This is a nice rendition, my only critique is that you should not use the pedal, as this piece was originally composed for the Harpsichord, which had no ability to use the sustain bedal.
I know a lot of people say that you are not supposed to use pedal, But to be honest, in this song ( the way you did it ) I actually kind of liked it. It makes the song flow, makes it more dramatic, like there is so much more feeling to it. Good job =]
Great Piano! Too much pedal work. Bach would not have played it in that manner. Great Technique. I am a piano teacher at GMU. Use less pedal and try not to be too tense.
The damper of the Silbermann fortepianos Bach played was just a hand stop that could be changed only during a pause.
In the Classical era more flexible knee levers or pedals were installed. But the lifting of all the dampers was used primarily as a coloristic device.
It wasn't until the 19th c. that the player's feet began to fall asleep on the damper pedal.
Can you post the sheet music?

I think you should remove the sound and leave the video for studying. Sounds like a train wreck.

Nice interpretation but you should play less pedal, i would play with pedal just when the adagio-part begins. i would play less legato, too.

Please with the pedal already....sounds like a train wreck!
