to be honest, i prefer sniping the bf3 way, and by that i don't mean camping a mile back, i developed a technique where you only engage people at mid range with your rifle but stay on the move carrying your pistol, that way i can cap flags, get kills, put down t-ugs in good locations and spawn beacon in on a flank, and people say you can't contribute in bf3 while playing recon...

Quick scoping is fairly easy in BC2. That's the preferred choice, SV98 and a 4x. Decent reload speed and 10 bullets.
