  • I don't listen to much hip-hop, but this guy is fucking awesome

  • "Is it on, is it beyond basic?

Does it ice grill you or is every song faceless?

Does it have a title? If it didn't would you name it?

Does it babble about nothing like a drunken atheist?"

Damn, Aesop describes today's so called music in an original way.

  • "it babbles about nothing like a drunk atheist" is so awesome. Also, wu tang and aesop rock can't be compared, its not practical.

  • there is no comparison you goons stop making it... aes=king

  • Boombox by aesop rock has just over 26,000 views and boom box by lonely island has just over 28,000,000 views. In fact, it is the top video in the related videos column. What the fuck is wrong with this world?

  • @XKaliber2097 I know right, it's pretty nuts.

  • @XKaliber2097

  • i love aesop. but i cant say im a big fan of these lyrics. seems forced. now 9-5ers anthem, is epic.

  • im listening to this song on youtube because every time i play it on itunes, itunes unexpectedly quits. i guess it just cant handle the awesomeness.

imma tip toe acroos this yoyo string until you walk the dog from under my feet,

    an skip town

    sit down!

  • @RatPacKliQ ummm ok but when u added "smoke blunts everyday" that kinda had nothing to do with beats or rapping to them. weirdass spammer

  • @DenisFreeman2 spam? maybe... but it gets the music out there feel me? & we smoke blunts every day sooo,,,,,

  • sometimes his music is so hard to understand it fucking pisses me off.

  • @S0ulWrought Yeah man, Aesop uses his lyrics very complexly, but the thing with music is you take the lyrics and make up your own meaning to it if it doesn't make sense to you. And if you can't make your own definition to the lyrics then I guess that's just ...Aesop for you, LOL! What a guy.

  • @S0ulWrought I dont know man..thats why its so good...it allows u to find something new each time you listen, and to dissect it.

  • @BCLrecords I gotta agree with that, that is one of the reasons I love Aesop so much.

  • @S0ulWrought

Same here, thats what I feel with Mf Doom as well.

  • @S0ulWrought you could try flipping through a dictionary sometime or maybe going back to highschool. Dont get pissed at aesop if hes too complex for you...

  • @joshcoughranmayne its also cuz his voice

  • @S0ulWrought that's exactly why i like it i could listen for years and then its like a light bulb and an analogy or lyric suddenly makes sense or i hear a line that at one point of my life didn't make sense but now it does. it's too thick for the average listener to get on the first go but his early stuff is a lot easier to understand than the new.

  • @S0ulWrought thats why i like it it makes u think and its not just some main streem bitch rapping about going to the club and getting drunk

  • @S0ulWrought Lol I get that feeling sometimes too. I prefer reading his lyrics tbh because his delivery makes it hard for me to hear what he's saying as well. I write abstract poetry myself so I can appreciate Aesop's work.

  • @S0ulWrought i've read that he's actually admitted in an interview that a lot of his lyrics really don't have any true meaning. kinda like all art, it's all relative, make your own meanings. you know?

  • @tiddlywinking You read it wrong. He says that his writting is not nonsensical MEANING that what he writes isn't him just spitting out things he has no idea about. He admits to not being a GENIUS, yes but he states clearly that the amount of metaphors and use of symbols in his lyrics were definitely not coincidental and/or random/lucky.

  • @tiddlywinking It’s probably because it’s not the most accessible music in the world. It may pose a slight challenge to the listener beyond your average pop song. I'm no genius by a long shot, but these songs are not nonsensical, that's pretty preposterous. I'd have to be a genius to pull this many nonsensical records over people's eyes." - Aesop Rock

  • im just spitting for these kids!fucking awsome!way, way, way, way better then fucking little wayne!lol.

  • @rockboy7789 comparing lil wayne to aesop ha, thats like calling a captain and novice.

  • @nommiss calling a captain a novice*. novice at spelling here.

  • @nommiss If you want to be technical, he`s a novice regarding punctuation alone, considering every word he typed was spelled perfectly correct.

  • @StairFox11 Lol ``you`re a novice regarding`` ``every word you typed`` **

  • @nommiss No it isn`t. it`s like calling the captain of an aircraft carrier the captain of a frigate, (``any warship built for speed and maneuverability``) they are both effective, they are just used differently. If you say Lil Wayne isn`t lyrically skilled, I would love to see you make a video response displaying your obviously superior skills. I personally can`t stand his music, but does that make him an inadequate artist? No, it makes him an artist who who displays his skills in other ways.

  • @nommiss P.S. If every hip hop artist was like aesop, we would still have the same problem, only the shoe would be on the other metaphorical foot.

  • @nommiss Yo...Dig dat.!

  • @rockboy7789 Alls rapping is now a days is corrupted black guys talking about drugs and beating there wives... Its quite funny to listen to there fails.

  • @drakin344

lol That shit cracks me up also I don't know how people get sucked into that materialistic ways of life.

  • @fourlokoJoker Ugh I know right its disqusting to listen to some black guy complaining about there lives. Its like no one cares dude.. Your rich lol

  • boom boom boom

  • One of the best beats ever.

  • Haha mannnn, hearing that Wu-Tang intro was great.

  • ever one of their songs have deep lyrics, Asop is Dope.

  • @tomwaitsfornoone1 his*. Yeah I know.. irrelevant typo but i'm bored and I don't see the point of being another "Aesops the shit" since if you didnt think he was ill you wouldnt be here u know? anyway, done rambling.

  • love the beat.

  • dadadadaa

  • word

  • boomboombomm!!!
