I was at the same show, but didn't have floor level seating. (Lucky you!) Loved how the violinists were jamming like rock stars through the whole production!
nice video my cousin (adrienne warren) was one of the girl singers in this group i saw the show on November 8, 2008 at the Richmond coliseum. subscribe to my channel please
My girlfriend and I saw TSO for the first time 12/28/2009 at the Toyota Center in Houston. A totally mezmerizing show!!! The stage show, theatrical parts, lighting,pyro.etc...beats any concert I have ever seen and I am 49yoa including Kiss etc.
i went to see them in Moline, IL. incredible, even though i was towards the back (but still on the floor)! i loved how they all got into their music, especially those violinists, Mark Wood and Alison Zlotow. i've never seen those instruments played with such gusto!
Ok...so I get to see them this Sunday (12/21/08) at the Sommet Center in Nashville. If this is the opening act, I'm probably going to need a change of pants.
Hahaha, I'm sure you did! I was [and still am] so exuberant about that concert! It was spectacular in every way. My only request would have been for them to play "Beethoven." All in all, though, what a memorable night!
I know, this will be my 4th year going, I look forward to it every year, a great way to get in the holiday spirit, especially when it's still 70 degrees out!
Haha, isn't that the truth? This was my first time actually going to see TSO; I've tried for the past four years or so, but it never worked out. I guarantee, however, that they'll see me every year from now on, though!
You are going to LOVE them. They're not just musicians - they're performers, and you'll leave the show stunned, with just one thought in your head: "Wow!"
Haha! Nice. Although we've been waiting long enough for "Night Castle," and we've been promised it's release on many an occasion, I did read a recent interview by Paul O'Neill stating that "Night Castle" is scheduled to be released this spring or summer of 2009. So, with luck, if TSO holds true to this, we won't have to wait as long as "Chinese Democracy."
Was told by Johnny Lee Middleton in 2004 that the new Savatage album would be out in 2006 has not happened yet. Their last album under the name Savatage was Poets And Madmen in 2001. Tso has been promising Night Castle since 2004. See the patern here? 5 years since the last TSO disc 8 years since the last Savatage Disc. Could this new release comming be a joint release by both TSO and Savatage?
you could learn to hold a camera and not talk whilest musicians are performing. just saying.

Really though, the best song they played was Hall of the Mountain king, or Wizards in Winter.
fullmetalfan19 3 years ago
The "Hall of the Mountain King" that they played is originally a Savatage song called "Prelude to Madness".

Aah, thank you so much. I was almost certain it must have be from "Night Castle." =]

How long before people start comparing Night Castle to GnRs Chinese Democracy? I hope we don't have to wait 11 years but they're well on their way.

The first song you hear before "March of the kings" is called "A Night Enchanted" and it is from their new CD "Night Castle"
