The Dark Champion's actually easier to beat than he looks. The main thing you have to look out for is his weakness. His weakness is that he is most vulnerable when he attacks. He blocks less than his brother which makes him very prone to putting his guard down. His AI functions just like he's described in his Character Bio: Prefers to use all of his power at once.

Mostly, but he does have some moves that Xavier doesn't. I can specifically remember a big axe swing, and a move where spikes protrude out of his body, he grabs his opponent, and slams him repeatedly into his spikes. It's like he turns into a living iron maiden.

I'm thinking it's the power the hidden character has. Since it's Death and all. Probably one hit from the character is enough to kill them.
