Education could easily solve this. It's almost impossible to stop kids from seeing porn, so parents (even religious ones) must tell their kids that porn is fake and real relationships don't happen that way. Education could easily solve this. It's almost impossible to stop kids from seeing porn, so parents (even religious ones) must tell their kids that porn is fake and real relationships don't happen that way. I'm 15 and I know it's totally fake and real sex is nothing like it. I figured that out myself, but I'm sure many teens haven't. My parents are religious and basically never talk with me about sex except that I should not have it. This is irresponsible and will only bring me harm in the end..

There are reasons that underage people shouldn't look at porn, like malformed or sunken frontal cortex. It takes over the dopamine and builds a false pleasure center. To further my reasoning, 13 year-olds will be able to drive in three years. Telling a 13 year-old that they can't buy a Playboy but can drive a car is ludicrous. I think it depends on the porn content. certainly it is unwise for a teen to watch bondage and other similar sorts of porn. soft porn might not be so bad . perhaps a rating system for the porn would be of benift

i think you're looking at it wrong. its not the age we should be concerned about but the mental maturity. some 13 year olds are mature enough to uderstand that porn is totally fictional, but some 17 year olds honest to god believe that all men have 12" penises and women are airbrushed to have no knuckles. what you should be asking is, how mature do you have to be to watch porn without damaging your future sex/love life.
