What's the average number of "foils per hour" ish a stylist should be able to place on a head? I feel like I'm really slow at it and can't find what the average could be

@TheChrisSager There isn't a set time of foils per hour.. It really can vary based on that client's hair and foil density. If they have a lot of hair and they want to be really blonde a full foil is going to take a while (over an hour). Just be aware of your time, your placement, and your product. Up the volume of the developer so they can process at the same speed if it's taking a while to put them in. Maybe set a timer to speed yourself up. Most salons have a set time, try to meet their goals.

@TheHurteded I would say to find a few pictures and bring them in. Google has a lot of images to choose from, but search for a side swept bang or fringe, long layers, or face framing layers. That might help

I recently tried to get my hair from black to platinum blonde. I did a heavy highlight instead of bleaching all of it because it was already damaged 'cause I'm kind of a hair dye addict. But it turned out orange even with the toner and still really fried. Is there any way to make it healthy again?

@jessierror I'm making a video on why you can't go from black to blonde in one session it's a process that takes time. Using protein filled products will help, but most of all a good haircut is going to be your best bet. There's only so much repair that can be done. Sorry, but that's why I don't recommend at home bleaching..

@Hair2BreakHearts I did a lot of deep conditioning for like 2 months, then I decided to dye my hair bright pink and purple on the 4th of July, so I had colorful streaks everywhere. Then, my cheer coach made me get my hair natural. So, I bleached out the colors, then I had to use a fill, then I dyed it with my natural color. It's really gingery, but I don't mind. And I did all of this at a salon, by the way. :]

The use of hot tools is damaging but at long as you use a heat protector your hair will be fine. The damage hot tools cause is mostly split ends and over processed ends. It won't stop your hair from growing but it will make you have to get cuts more often. Just use some kind of protection and try not to do it every single day.
