he may have used "an Englishman's words" but, if I recall my history correctly, we kicked the shit of them in a little thing called the Revolutionary war , they make great authors and art .. we make great Warriors and ass kickers ...
@Gheorgyi Wow last time I checked Italy was below us academically even with 20 million illegal immigrants in our country.........sad. Oh and we have over half of the top 100 publically funded universities and above that in private universities. How many does Italy have I wonder. Calling us illeterate on an American invention PRICELESS. I suggest you put a letter in a bottle and throw it in the sea and hope it reaches us as Fed-EX and UPS are American corporations flying American planes. Keep to
@BIRDDOG551 I - Get a load of this one: he gets p.o.'d at the term, but then mis-spells it (that "illEterate" is a real gem). The usual american way mania of numbers and statistics. The USA has an extension almost 30 times that of Italy, and a population about 5 times. It seems logical there are more universities. If there are 100 universities in the USA, there are about 80 in Italy, which - even number-wise - doesn't sound much less. What is this "american invention"??!!! You are laughable
@BIRDDOG551 II - "last time I checked ... " It all depends on WHAT and WHERE you check, bozo. I have lived and worked in the USA for years (including TEACHING, at university level), and the gross ignorance of those american youngsters used to leave me appalled. Our senior high schools teach in their last 2 years the curriculum taught in thew first two years of an american BA-BS course - which, if I'm not mistaken, is "college", hence university level. What do "corporations" have to do with this?
@Gheorgyi The first two years is pretty much review to get your Associates. No shit it is taught in high school although it depends on the classes. I do not know were YOU "taught", but everyone knows that an associates does not get you anywhere. Corporations are a reflection of the quality of labor and education. Many of the technological innovations I listed came about through a reflection of American education. Were do many Europeans get there education if they have the money.......... the US.
@BIRDDOG551 A medical school in one of the top-rated american universities is where I taught, bozo. "Associates" and all the other pap: it's the notorious american mania of using american terms and standards (the "ugly american"), neglecting there is a wide world outside of the USA: conceit and jingoism, that's what it is. Italian universities began operating in 1088 (the one I graduated from was chartered in 1308), WHERE were the american ones at that time??!!! Jester, you only make me LAUGH.
@Gheorgyi I doubt it. So what your saying is that because you graduated from a university that was chartered in 1308 the education is superior WTF???? Obviously we were NOT a country at that time. The only clown here is you. Your arguments are completely absurd as is the concept you have the cognitive capability to TEACH anybody.
@BIRDDOG551 Doubt it as much as you little heart and even smaller ersatz-brain can wish, that fact still holds true. Obviously, the duration of their existence and activity reflects on their experience in the science and art of teaching. Bozo, this has been going on long enough: I really can't keep wasting time on you. So, OVER & OUT, marine: "dismissed".
@Gheorgyi Cute.........As for my "inexperience" in the art of teaching does not reflect on my knowledge of a good teacher. You learn after some time that there are those that love to teach and those that teach because they cannot do. You I am sure are the latter. Nobody says over and out and then continues a statement.
@BIRDDOG551 Thus, two years go in college to "review" what should have been taught in high school. Very likely, it NEVER was, hence the need for "reviewing"... GREAT schools, indeed. I graduated from a univerrsity with more than 700 years of existence, that was graduating lawyers and doctors of medicine when... tell me, what was the level of education in American at that time??!!! witch doctors dancing around the totem pole? WHAT "technological innovations" did you list??!!! FedEx, UPS?!
@Gheorgyi I do not see you teaching anyone either as you state I taught at a university then know little or nothing about what constitutes as an education in the US. If you ever were a teacher you are a very bad teacher.
@BIRDDOG551 Yes, bozo, I'll keep eating pasta (I don't make it myself, you nincompoop: I BUY it) and our mediterranean diet, and delicious Italian slow food, and I'll leave you americans to gorging up at McDonald's, BurgerKing's and all other american makers of obesity. I've seen no place as many oversized fatsoes as in the USA. Keepo at it, you over- and ill-fed whales, the time will come when youl'll BURST.
@Gheorgyi We are definately not all fat and eat fast food thats a stereotype idiot. I will say we do have both fat and extremely fit populace. We actually work out to a level you pussies seem not to attain. I have been to europe and saw little emphasis on actually going to the gym. We have as many gyms as fast food restaraunts. I for one was in the Marine Corps for four years and have kept up my routine so the jokes on your lily ass. You are awfully rude for an Italian by the way.
@BIRDDOG551 I wrote "I've seen no place as many oversized fatsoes as in the USA", expressing the ratio of fatsoes to normal looking people, as I have personally observed. Of course you have "both fat and extremely fit populace", I should hope so. Oh, so you were a marine for 4 years - well, that explains your apparent mental level. I am INVARIABLY rude to idiots, I make a point of being so: it's useless and wasted to be kind to them. OVER-OUT, Marine, "dismissed". No more time to waste on you.
Someone PLEASE Please tell where this is from, follow up story, what company it is and are the Marines or Army? Please someone email me the back story on this please. I can tell, and are they yelling "Raiders" at the end? if someone could help I would be forever in your debt, email me Tims_Pc@hotmail.com
@MentalBadger Shakespeare wrote that play when many of us were englishman. The first colony to the new world was established during his lifetime. However, you can claim anything after the revolution.
@MentalBadger My ancestors were TWAT!!! As of now I am American through and through. Our history did not simply begin in 1776 or are you too ignorant to realize this. I am leaning towards............YES.
That's alot of power there. I hope the folks directly behind/supporting the "Leader/speaker" steers that unit and great countrymen into good missions. It would be a shame to misdirect such power and destruction; it would be like a bad car crash, but with the finest automobiles.
As a Canadian I would be proud to stand with any brother in arms of any US Marine Battalion. These guys are special though; these guys are US Marine Raiders. Ahh the days of Carlson's Raiders rings true yet again. God Bless The Corps.
The little "speech " that this guy gives is based upon the English King Henry V (thats fifth) speech on the morning of the battle of Agincourt.(Sorry Yanks, but this was not in your Civil War)
Though there is a difference.First of all the English army was outnumnbered 5 to 1,they were on foreign soil an badly blighted by dissentery.
They also faced what was the best equipped, paid and trained forces in the medieval world at that time, and still won.
You're right - thanks for the enlightenment, friend, but while you sit at your computer and look down your nose at his "little speech" and make your little points about differences, remember what is the same - these soldiers, like those of the English Army, are preparing to go into battle and die. If the words of Henry V stir courage for these men, I'm sure the Bard won't mind if they are repeated.

I dont disagree with you Kickbuck.American soldiers are brave men,and their valour has been proved on many occasion.
My point is that Henry vs speech at Agincourt was for an army expecting to be anhiallted.
The Us forces in Iraq are the most powerful in the world, with air superiority and weapons beyond the dreams of their enemies.
This is not an underdog army, where as Henrys was.
