I bought this gamecube console in 2006 just before the wii was released I also bought a wavebird controller which is a wireless controller I am wrapped with it and find it so much easier to play than the wii

@KKKSuperFan That's more of a multi-media thing. A "gaming console's" primary function is to play games, not to browse online, or download games, or play movies. All right maybe that second doesn't apply, but that's just a recent development.

@zackthecameraman I still ponder why digital content (not pirated of course) costs the same amount of money as physical content for all of the consoles' marketplaces. They act like the labor of shipping and handling in the store is free.

@chadheck96 That's much more better. Thanks. I would speculate that this is so because the money needs to be made. Only about 30% of a game's sale price go to the makers of the game, so they need to get all the money they can, with in reasonable boundaries of course.

@squeaky559 Why not? If you think you'll enjoy the games, and be fine with all the other stuff that it things about it, then buy one. They're cheap now anyways, so there's almost no drawback, unless you regret it, then that'd be one, but I hope it isn't.

The Gamecube was such an under appreciated console. Genre-wise, it picked up where the Dreamcast left off. It also had a lot of remakes and ports of PS1 games, which were some of my favorite on the console. The mini discs, though not as big in space, allowed for faster load times. The graphics were on par with the original Xbox. The controller layout made it easy to remember where the buttons were. My biggest complaint is that this system was never used for its full potential by Nintendo

the ngc is even turtuing prove

if you remove the disc during gameplay it just asks to put the disc back ,it then reads till the point were you were left off,also removing the memorycard during gameplay does,nt erase data.cuzz it only reads/writes data once needed.

even when bashing on the system does,nt damage or crash it cuzz it,s solit and error data coused by vibration will be over readed thus corrected.

Also do you need to have the gameboy in the gamecube when you play or can you just use the controller.
