I know I was regarded as PTS because I have MS and I'm a recovering drug addict. For as much as I wanted to think they were all my friends and I was accepted, I always had the feeling that I wasn't. It was very uncomfortable sometimes for me to be on Course when I knew I was around people who didn't think I should be there.
Hello this is reguarding the Jehovah Witness comment and I am one and we believe in keeping the congregation clean from any person who willingly practiced sin and dont want to change their ways and thats the only reason that someone would get Disfelloshiped. And difelloshiped members still live and keep contact with their families. We are nothing like scientology and we dont charge ppl that want to learn about our religon.
Once you meet someone with real spiritual abilities, this "OT" stuff is pretty obvious crap. I had many years in Scientology, and my twin brother has more ability than I do. So, Scientology can feel good but it took more than it gave back. Not to say that I got nothing out of it, but look at both sides before you get involved.
@xenuburger Excellent points---look at *both* sides before you get involved. (And ask yourself: Do you honestly want to join a group who STOPS people from looking at both sides?) :)
Gday from Australia! :-) I did the 'stress test' a few years ago at a fair in a country town here. The guy NEVER said a word about scientology just the amazing things that the book 'dianetics' could do for my stress. Sneaky! LOL I bought the book! cos I love books, and it sat on my shelf until about six months ago when I found out it was a scientology manual, but I read two chapters and said yuk, mind control pysho babble.
@bagelboi66 See? How sick is that?! Me too, due to having "Epilepsy". As my Mom said: "Tory, they're going to KILL you! Epilepsy is NOT a psychosomatic illness. It's a very real, physical illness and either your Doctor Calls me, TODAY (1972) saying you are back on your much needed medication, or *I* will be flying out there---today. And trust me, L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology will NOT forget YOUR MOTHER! That DAY my Mom saved my life....truly. :)
If there is any story to tell in regards to it could you possibly discuss what it was like being pregnant and having a child whilst in Scientology? I hear a lot of stories in the press about vitamin pills, silent labours etc and I am interested in knowing if you experienced anything unusual?
I often get Jehovah's Witnesses knocing at my door trying to sell me their fruity version of christianity. I found out that this cult operats a similar scam to $cientology's 'disconnection' policy to prevent any contact between a cult member and anyone who has left it. The JW's call it 'disfellowship' and if you mention this to them they get stumped for words and quickly leave. Never join a cult that strictly forbids contact with ex-members.
@astrophonix Yes! JW's are VERY similar. I have to say an X-JW was the neighbor of mine who, after OSA put their black pr 3 page piece about me on his door, and EVERY OTHER NEIGHBORS...he and his GF went to EVERY single door, picked them up, and brought them over to me. How cool is that? :)
@TheKamikazeen I would say to look at interviews of people whom have gotten out already to understand why Scientology is a trap. Maybe even watch the Jason Beghe interview it may be worth your time. He explained it in a way that its as if Scientology creates a sort of logical loop in your mind that helps to "keep yourself in prison" so to speak. It gives you some fairly good stuff at first, but afterwards its all the same crap. Of course by then you're already in the loop and its hard t get out.
My local mall has a booth that is perminately there for the church. They have their tests and I've always wanted to know what kinda lies they were spreading. thank you, Tory
Out of curiosity: does the church censors actively (by precluding Internet access and television) or passively (by discouraging people to interact with) the media for the followers? don't people inside ever wonder "is correct for someone else to tell me what ideas are acceptable and to which content I should subject myself?" as an example: does the church censor violence and murder in tv? erotica and such? Political debate? science?
The church and it's ideology seems so arrogant to me. Also I was very surprised to hear about racism in Scientology (as I never knew of this); did you say they called people Wogs? Ouch. I'm surprised, as here in the UK that's a strong (highly racist) word to use.
Thanks for the video Tory, I learnt some interesting stuff from this video. Happy Chinese New Year to you too!
@zakdagger Yes, they call anyone and everyone who is NOT a Scientologist a "Wog", and in a very degrading way, too. exp: "He's just a wog". "Oh my Mom is just a wog". "Don't waste your time, he's a wog". Sick....truly.
And yup---in the 30 years I was "in", I think there were 5 (maybe 6) Afro-Americans. Racist? You decide.
You're most welcome---happy you learned some things :)
Lookin' good Miss Tory :)

@evolvingsquishy I may, but it's pretty personal. My guess is IF I do, that will be in my book. We'll see.
It wasn't "unusual" to me, but I never experienced any other way than what I did, which was wonderful :)
