  • I was waiting for Chris Hansen to walk in during this movie.. (To catch a predator)

  • @lemonrind

Your problem is with the girl not the murdering child molester???

  • This was a powerful movie.

  • Wow, I just watched Juno and they totally left this out of the deleted scenes...

  • The biggest mindfuck was the pedophile was played by a hot actor.

  • Ellen Page was frieken ROBBED of an oscar nomination and win!! So, so good in this movie, best actress of her generation by far.

  • Wow ellen is soo talented

  • What she did was baiting for abduction, the actual kidnapping, threats, torture, attempted murder using asphyxiation. Well, it's obvious who the bad person is in the movie and it's not him. She's just a 14 year old psychopathic violent criminal. Not an 'average teenage girl'.

  • @johnnygamer2011 I agree very much that she's not. The film was hard to watch, it succeeds in making people run away from teenage girls, if that was planned. I'll say this over and over again - teenage girls are incredibly cute, just like grown-up women and if you meet one that is also very intelectually developed, the only reason you will not want to make out with her is "social standards" or the fear of her strongman father. Let's face it.

  • @Zenon666ification All men are attracted to teenage girls, except closet homos. they won't admit it though, because of political correctness. But at construction sites, it's commonly accepted, so they will feel safe to glance to 14 year old girls that pass by. At more 'higher level' environments, they are too scared to admit it, but it is accepted to admit attraction to teenage girls of other races because they don't want to harm their own kind.

  • @johnnygamer2011 It's not that people protect teenage girls from grown men, but they want to protect their own race. I sat at the bus years ago. I saw this white man saying that he was going to Thailand to grab some teenage girls. The rest of the bus, including entire families with women, smiled and agreed as if it's normal. Because he was not harming girls of his own race.

  • @johnnygamer2011 Weird, really weird... Hard to believe for me actually but I won't argue. It doesn't make sense - "to protect their own race". Who says anything about hurting somebody? To me whatever the relationship is, if it's not hurting anybody and if something is willingly done by 'both sides', it's okay. If you're in a relationship with a young teenage girl and don't do anything that she doesn't want - are you hurting her? I don't think so.

  • @johnnygamer2011 Besides, having a much younger girlfriend, not yet an adult, would make you behave very protective and very caring towards her... I guess. I only dated/had women older than me.

  • amb Elen amb faig pedeastre

  • Never knew Nite Owl had such ...childish tendencies.

  • I laughed out loud when I realized that she went directly from playing Hayley in this to Kitty Pride in X-Men. The contrast was hilarious.

  • I love his face when she takes off the ropey at the end XD

  • totally changes how you look at Juno.

  • @Blastaar7 tell me about it... i mean, you look at juno,at hayley, and then bliss(whip it), and then ariadne(inception), and you are still concerned because they are so similar and so oposite at the same time...ellen page, probably one of the best of her generation!

  • ellen page is so hot :P

  • psychotic as fuck but she is brilliant in this!

  • Is anyone else reminded of Hugh Laurie in House by this scene?

  • @AznbruddAmAn What? Since when is House a pedophile?

  • Comment removed

  • @MMolocho No way. Why don't you learn some english instead?

  • About what is this movie?

In the beginning it seems like they are friends..

but what did that guy to her, or what's happening?

  • @Siiiiiiiiii1

She thinks he killed her friend that he was "with"

    a.k.a pedophile

Sure lured him into meeting her

  • So is this worth watching???

  • @mouseJB YES. I just finished watching this tonight & it was totally amazing.

Ellen Page was amazing, & Jeff is really hot.

  • @mouseJB absolutely!

  • i first saw this movie 2 years ago...i still think it's the best movie ever, ellen page is an amazing actress and she's so underrated

  • This is brilliant acting. I got so mad at Jeff the first time I saw this film that I started yelling at the TV. It takes quite a bit for anyone to have that much of a visceral reaction. This film is creepy, disturbing, and brilliant.

  • damn i cant hear~!!!!

  • How old was Ellen Page in this? She looks pretty young and sounds younger too.

  • Comment removed

  • no she wasn't...

  • @thedifferent14 no she was 18

  • @thedifferent14 She's 23 right now and this movie was made in 2005. She's 18 here.

  • @quixoto why would she be 18 if she talked about 9th grade books being challenging and attacking pedophiles?

  • @FireFart179 Jesus Christ, I'm talking about the actress Ellen Page not the character she's playing here. For all I know she's playing a ten year-old space alien from the future. I don't give a shit. She was still born in 1987. What was so difficult to understand?

  • @quixoto god, dont need to flip your shit asshole

  • @FireFart179 You might be right. I was not in the best of moods yesterday. Usually I follow a certain rule of thumb about troll-filled message boards like Youtube: always assume the worst about people until you are proven different.

  • @quixoto Yeah, youtube kindaa odes that to you. No problem.

  • @quixoto She was 17 yrs old when she made this. It was filmed in the summer of 2004, debuted on the film festival circuit in early 2005, and was released in theaters in April 2006 which is why people assume she was 18.

  • @mkeogh76

Good to know. I'm glad you cleared up that 7 month old bit of miscommunication.

  • @quixoto Always glad to help!

  • @kaileemouse,

    She was 17 years old.

  • I love Ellen Page.

  • This movie made me have a really fucked up nightmare where I was just standing there watching this shit, and I did nothing for either one of them. It was.....weird.

  • He's smart.....

    But she's clever. ;)

  • He's smart.....

    But she's clever. ;)

  • He's smart.....

    But she's clever. ;)

  • The MPAA screwed this movie with their crappy ratings system. This is the type of tale that should have played nationwide in all the theaters.

  • Could someone upload the full movie please??? (:

this film looks really good (:

and ellen page is a brilliant actress!! (:

    thanks x

  • Could someone upload the full movie please??? (:

this film looks really good (:

and ellen page is a brilliant actress!! (:

    thanks x

  • just buy it dont be cheap

  • not haley! no

  • yay im younger than ellen i wanna be her matee yay lol GIRL POWER DOWN WITH PEDO MEN

  • you put that in the gayest possible way. i'm sorry..

  • haha he thinks he is so smart

  • Ellen Page is beautiful no matter what role she does.

lol and this film was awesome. I loved her acting at 0:50-2:30 made me laugh so hard x)

  • I agree with you, gustavohorn ! Ellen Page is fantastic in this movie ! I started to like her from that film. I love it ! A huge fan of it !

  • I love this scene, you see how deceptive and intelligent they both are.

  • I would take Ellen Page's side, :].

  • i would be more than happy to marry Ellen Page!!! I absolutely love and admire her, i believe she did an amazing job on this movie. I didn't know who's side to take hers or his.

  • It's just incredible! I've never seen a child so talented...

  • Actually, She was 18 at the time of this movie.

  • Well, she was a child...

  • the man who made this movie is my dentist's son

  • @corsegers this movie isn't crap

  • @chelsea12495

That is an interesting connection to have.

  • I FUCKING LOVE THAT WOMEN!!!!

  • omg!!! i HATE her but i LOVE her!!! :S

  • There's only one thing that I hate about this movie and that's the fact that these two were never nominated for this film.

  • Certainly, Ellen Page deserved a nomination for Hard Candy, 50 times more than for Juno.

  • I disagree, respectfully, I felt Juno was a bit more "realistic". Although Hard Candy portrays a girl getting some payback on a creepo, it seems a bit to far fetched.

**SPOILER** towards the end of the movie, it became so ridiculous, the whole hanging thing, and what not, this guy would of killed her and that girl janelle. he would of at least killed Hayley, and then reworked his story for Janelle, dont get me wrong, im glad he dies, but it seemed a bit to "easy" for the ending. any thoughts?

  • he didnt die in the end friend. that was hayleys biggest twist of the movie. you hear a thud, she made the rope too long on purpose, and she runs to the edge of the roof and says to him that she isnt cleaning that shit up. and after jumping off the roof, a broken leg is almost garenteed. thats what made the movie. watch it again, because that twist absolutly MADE the movie incredible. no one, nowhere would have ever seen that coming.

  • i thought the point of it was, that he dies, and when she runs over to the edge, she says im not cleaning it up, meaning "your a child molester, now your dead, and everyone will know thats what you were"

i only saw it once, but its on demand so maybe ill watch it again, ill fast forward through that one scene though, cuz real or not that shit hurt me! lol.

  • yea i think you should cuz that that made the movie.

  • u watched the hard candy DVD with deleted scene and extended ending...technically not the actual movie u just got basically...the directors cut!

  • i watched the movie... thats it... watching the directors cut doesnt add to your experience.... you should just go from the feeling ou get after the movie itself

  • @FantasmaLuna agreed and Ellen page should have won the oscar and not resse witherspoon

  • @FantasmaLuna so they never got any credit?

  • @FantasmaLuna

Makes sense. You make a film that exposes what really are on the inside, for their sick immoral behaviors they don't want to answer for, and many people will be silent. And it sickens me that they give 5 Golden Stars out to movies like... the Transformers Sequel.

  • She's such a good actress. She was also in "An American Crime" or something with a similar name. Very good, yet hard to watch movie!

  • Tell me about it. I watched it today. I feel so... disgusted. And very upset that Catherine Keener is not playing the victim character in this one instead of Patrick Wilson.

  • that would be funny

  • No, This movie is GENIUS. It will always be on my top ten.

  • this movie was amazing ;)

  • this movie is so smart. Ellen Page is great in it too

  • He`s a creep

  • I only have about three pass words and there all easy to figure out if you know me

  • esta barbara esta peli ella actua re bien

  • This movie is fucking dead awesome!!

i LOVvvve ellen!! what a dam good actress...is it me or does she look like Natalie Portman?....I swear when I see her face I think of Natalie!!

  • awesome lol

  • gdgdgdgd moviue loved it

  • "I am an honor student" was definitely one of the greatest (and what now seems to be the creepiest) lines in this movie.

  • Ellen Page is hot!

  • intimidating.

  • the movie she shaved her head for is mouth to mouth

  • She shaved her head for another part before this movie, sergegrone

  • lol he think he's smart lol

  • i absolutely LOVE this movie!it scare the crap out of me..AWESOME scene!
